Overview

Marik Ishtar is a character that's suspected to be coming soon. There are several files found in the game showing a character selection icon, and a player profile icon. Similar to Yugi Muto, he has an alter ego called Yami Marik. His Yami version is more likely to be an unlockable character to avoid having 2 of the same character. Marik Ishtar might make an appearance through a mini event just like the Yugi Muto event.

Cards

Based on the anime, Marik Ishtar takes control of other people and use their decks to duel and does not duel himself, unless he is in his Yami Marik form. If he were to appear, he could be bringing other gravekeeper monsters like Gravekeeper's Descendant, similar to Ishizu and Odion's duel rewards.

Why would anyone want another Marik when we already have him ingame, its the same person we don't want duplicate characters like Yami Joey and 🔥, just bring acctual duelists that aren't ingame yet

He has been trapped in the game files forever with no hope of escaping and I continue to lose hope as well with each new update that does not include him. RIP, Marik Ishtar. You have lost to your dark side unless Konami decides to free you years from now. :(

Hey, there. I'm the OP. I don't know if you really are Baharley (I know that the comment got deleted), but I do unsterstand your frustration. Someone on my friend list hasn't logged in since the last Yami Marik event. She didn't care about pvp, just wanted to have Marik for duel world and friend duels.

We already have Yugi 2 times with Yami Yugi and Yugi Moto we don't want more duplicate characters, especially in the case of Bakura, Marrik and Joey which is literally the same person

The people that run duel links stated that they didn't want to add in necrovalley in to the game any time soon so that probably won't be one of his rewards.

I have no idea. The fact that he has not even had a roaming event must mean two things: 1. He has Necrovalley in some form or other (card or skill) 2. Konami is terrified of it.
