Traptrix were specifically made to support Trap Hole cards such as Acid Trap Hole. Traptrix Altrax lets you activate them from the hand, and Traptrix Dionaea can retrieve a Trap Hole from the graveyard.

Flip your own Amaterasu face-up with Acid Trap Hole and wipe your opponent’s board. And because Amaterasu gets flipped face-down again, it does not return to your hand during the End Phase.

Subterror

Subterror monsters all have flip effects you can trigger with Acid Trap Hole and most of them have high enough defense to not be destroyed. This way Acid Trap Hole can be used as a quick way to trigger your Subterrors during the opponent’s turn.

Flip Effects

Acid Trap Hole can be used to trigger the flip effects of your monsters. And your high-defense flip monsters will even be able to activate their effects twice.

Totally useless, because it has 'flip it up". This makes flip monsters activate their effects.

If the monster is destroyed by the acid trap hole, the flip effect will not activate. The new rulings made this card a bit better (still a bad card though)

Even better: whatever the result of the trap, the flip effect will not activate. All flip effects require the monster to be face up on the field to activate the flip effect. So if the monster is destroyed (not on field) or is flipped face down (not face up) the flip effect will not activate

I can't believe this card is SR. This card was never used in competitive play even in 2004.

If it has Forbidden Memories effect, sure, but that's not the case here....
