When exactly 1 monster is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon that monster to the same side of the field it was on, in the same battle position it was in when destroyed.
If your Harpie monster gets destroyed, you can special summon them again using Time Machine. This will bring back your monster, and activate the field spell's effect again.
Special Summon when destroyed
Using Time Machine on monsters that can special summon when they get destroyed will allow you to re-use them again. When your opponent destroys your monster, you will end up with 2 monsters on the field instead.
Activate when special summoned
Cards like Gemini Scorpion, or Delta The Magnet Warrior have effects that will activate right away when they are normal summoned, and/or special summoned, allowing them to use their ability twice with only 1 monster.
Dark Mimics
Using Time Machine on Lv1 will let you special summon Lv3 on your next turn if it doesn't get destroyed, which can total up to +4 extra draws if all the mimics get destroyed. It is also fine if you use Time Machine on Lv3 instead, since you get the draw when it gets destroyed by battle.
You will need to have 2 monsters already in the graveyard, but you can use Time Machine to special summon the destroyed monster back, and be able to special summon Yellow Baboon.
Basically has the same effect as Time Machine but the monster will get destroyed at your End Phase and it can only be summoned in defense position. It can prevent damage to your Life Points from an attack. Use Regretful Rebirth first before using Time Machine if you need the monster to stay on the field.
This combination is very effective when you have a monster that has an effect that activates when it get destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard. E.g. Warm Worm and Blue Dragon Summoner.
Revive your normal monster with Time Machine. Use Symbols of Duty to tribute that normal monster to get a monster that you needed from both players Graveyard.
Has similar effect as Time Machine. It can only summon normal monsters, can be used outside of Damage Step and the monster can only be summoned in defense position. This card can prevent damage to your Life Points from an attack. You can revive any normal monster regardless of level, type or attribute. It can also be used if you needed a monster for a tribute.

Can someone explain this to me? Farming Pegasus using the 3SD deck listed on this website. I stall with buster blader, he summons copycat and a turn later toon mermaid. Copycat destroys buster blader but time machine that is face down doesn't activate. Why?
Only good use I've seen yet is in a warm worm deck. Thing is it only revives battle deaths and most strong monsters that are worth reviving are almost never destroyed by battle.
I was hoping I could get 3 of them so I can use it on Blue Dragon Summoner or Legion The Fiend Jester multiple times and get Exodia pieces but it's not gonna happen. T_T
Can't wait for this card to come out! With the warm worm card x3! (The card where opponent discards 3 random cards) maybe even pair it with a few cocoon of evolutions.
Imagine this x3 paired with regretful rebirth x3 paired with shallow grave x3!
Ya, id def like to have this card. NpC is pairing it with birdface and harpy 2 i believe it is and it locks down the board for the next 2 turns if u had to kill it harpy twice. Really good stall card and constantly puts board control in reach of regaining or tightening the noose to clinch the game. Solid card. Could be abused but that just would force people to broaden the meta (good thing) to carry more unique counters to more cards instead of a beater race to the end. I no a few decks such as umi and gravekeepers work but we need more pvp decks capable of working near the top. Insect decks could be decent with another card or 2 added. The REAL fix is changing PvP LP to 8k or at least 6k. Then we could have some more in depth and strategic mathes.
