Pros

  • Special summons a normal monster in your graveyard, and it's not restricted to any level, type, or attribute.

Cons

  • Special summoned monster will be destroyed if the card leaves the field.
  • Can only be special summoned in defense position.

Tips

Symbols of Duty

After bringing back your normal monster, you can use Symbols of Duty to special summon any monster from either players' graveyard.

Champion's Vigilance

Works best if you special summon a high level normal summon since you can use it with Champion's Vigilance.

Gemini

Gemini monsters are normal monsters, unless they are normal summoned again when they are on the field, this means that Soul Resurrection can be used on all gemini monsters. Special summon Blazewing Butterfly and normal summon it again so you can special summon other gemini monsters with active effects.

Fusion

Cards like Red-Eyes B. Dragon and Buster Blader are normal monsters that has multiple fusion monsters. You can fusion summon and use Soul Resurrection so you can fuse again, this can work well when you use fusion substitute monsters. This also works for gemini since Superalloy Beast Raptinus is usable with any 2 gemini monsters.

This one could be good in BEWD deck to summon your Azure Eyes or any other Synchro monster.

Good point. Never thought azure and synchro are normal monsters...

pretty sure OP meant summon the BEWD with this card so you can use it as synchro material for Azure-Eyes.

But this card is not good for that, since then this card would remain on your field meaninglessly. You basically lost 1 backrow zone.

I see this comboing with vanguard dragon + bewd =O

This! Just got that card from the new pack and it works so good with Vanguard.

When engaging of high attack monsters I prefer birthright. And its cheaper.

How come you can't negate & destroy your own Soul Resurrection with Hero's Rule #2?
Anonymous
If I tribute the monster bought back from the graveyard, shouldn't soul resurrection be destroyed and send to graveyard? Now it still stays on the field after the tribute.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
no because tributing a monster is not the same as destroying it, therefore soul resurrection remains in the field.

Woo !!

this is why I don't like using this card. IT can clog up your back row if you are reviving a monster for a tribute.

this card isnt that bad and i would prefer it over birth right because i have 3 that are all glossy

It would be very annoying to add a new section for each card that is called "similar" to place cards that have similar effects to the card shown

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Buster Blade is an effect monster? The description above says that buster blader is a normal monster

Buster Blader is Effect monster.

This card with wonder balloon feels superb u discard blue eyes and u get it back

This helps a lot of deck, but it helps Harpies the most. Grab a Harpie, pop with Hunting Ground and instantly go +1. Or just grab a duck at end phase and switch it back on your turn for a huge tempo play. This card being around is also another huge incentive to play a Harpie deck because it is such a huge target for Hunting Ground. Why do we have to keep buffing the most played deck? :(

yeah, hate that pathetic deck more than any other in every other game.

What's more pathetic is that everyone uses 3SD deck in ranked matches.

Only for normal monster, so still not versatile enough. Maybe for dinos or harpies this will help a lot. Combo this with otc shall be good I think.
Haitham KH
another support for 3SD (Dark Magician) :/

dark magician will be limited. it will destroy the 3SD deck

Resurrects a normal (presuming non-effect) monster in defence mode. My Neo Aqua Madoor may find use for this :)
