The two effects, inflicting piercing battle damage and allowing you to draw a card when this monster inflicts battle damage match each other.

Cons

Has 1900 ATK that is not high enough as a level 5 monstes, and will be defeated even by a buffed low level monster.
The rarity of this card, UR, makes this card tough to get.

Tips

Toon Masked Sorcerer has an effect similar to this monster.
Quick-play spell/Trap cards that boost/halve monster's stats, such as Reinforcements, Mirror Wall, and Half Shut, helps this monster inflict battle damage to your opponents.
Enemy Controller, Windstorm of Etaqua, Curse of Anubis work well with this monster due to its piercing damage effect.

No. Most of the time, it lacks the raw power to "gain momentum" since you still have to rely to equip cards or the likes of riryoku, metalmorph,etc. BUT, if you're going to use it mostly in PvE, it's quite fine as most AIs and their decks can be predictable. Horribly outclassed as momentum changer in PvP though.

I traded and really like it. First of all it has 1900 atk but the important thing is to beat non-tributed 3-4* monsters with max 1750, unless they have equips. So having a 2300 atk or 1900 will not affect your gameplay so much. Also with an equip spell Airknight can really speed up your game and guarantee your winning. I recommend, drawing card is the most important thing in the game.

if drawing cards is what makes you win the game then I'll pass. don't want to rely on LUCK whether I'll draw good cards or not.

I would probably add Metalmorph to the list of useful cards since the effect still activates and does the addition half damage as piercing as well
