How to Play

Invoke Engine

The Invoke combo is fairly simple and an easy way to get powerful monsters on the field without much cost. Normal Summon Aleister to search Invocation. Activate Invocation using Aleister on your field as material. Activate Invocation's graveyard effect to place the banished Aleister back to your hand and Invocation back to your Deck, preparing for another Invoke combo on your next turn.

Aleister the Invoker
Aleister the Invoker
DARK Spellcaster ★4
ATK 1000 / DEF 1800
Dark Dimension [UR]
(Quick Effect): You can send this card from your hand to the GY, then target 1 Fusion Monster you control; it gains 1000 ATK/DEF until the end of this turn. If this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: You can add 1 "Invocation" from your Deck to your hand.
Invocation
Invocation
Normal Spell
Dark Dimension [UR]
Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand as Fusion Material. If Summoning an "Invoked" Fusion Monster this way, you can also banish monsters from your field and/or either player's GY as Fusion Material. If this card is in your GY: You can target 1 of your banished "Aleister the Invoker"; shuffle this card into the Deck, and if you do, add that card to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Invocation" once per turn.

Fluffals

Fluffal Dog
Fluffal Dog
EARTH Fairy ★4
ATK 1700 / DEF 1000
Cross Dimension [SR]
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned from the hand: You can add 1 "Edge Imp Sabres" or 1 "Fluffal" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Fluffal Dog". You can only use this effect of "Fluffal Dog" once per turn.

Main Searcher of this Deck for adding specific pieces. Fluffal Dog can gain this effect while it is special summoned with Toy Vendor as well.

For a combo example, you can summon Dog, add 1 Fluffal Sheep from your Deck to your hand. Then, you can return the dog to your hand for future uses in order to Special Summon 1 Edge Imp Monster from your hand or GY with Sheep's effect for Fusion Summoning Frightfur Monsters.

Fluffal Bear
Fluffal Bear
EARTH Fairy ★3
ATK 1200 / DEF 800
Sora Perse Unlock Event [SR]
You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; Set 1 "Toy Vendor" directly from your Deck to your Spell & Trap Zone. You can Tribute this card, then target 1 "Polymerization" in your Graveyard; add it to your hand. You can only use 1 "Fluffal Bear" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

Usually used to search out Toy Vendor from your Deck and set directly to your field by discarding itself. Also, you can tribute it from your field to add 1 Polymerization back from your GY to your hand.

Edge Imp Sabres
Edge Imp Sabres
DARK Fiend ★3
ATK 1200 / DEF 800
Sora Perse at Lvl 7, 18, and 33 [SR]
If this card is in your Graveyard: You can place 1 card from your hand on the top of the Deck; Special Summon this card in Defense Position. You can only use this effect of "Edge Imp Sabres" once per turn.

Can be searched by Fluffal Dog in this Deck. Similars to Plaguespreader Zombie recycling effect, it can help you continue various play and this card works pretty good with Toy Vendor.

Fluffal Wings
Fluffal Wings
LIGHT Fairy ★1
ATK 100 / DEF 100
Cross Dimension [R]
If this card is in your Graveyard and you control "Toy Vendor": You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 "Fluffal" monster in your Graveyard; banish it, and if you do, draw 1 card, then you send 1 "Toy Vendor" you control to the Graveyard, and if you do, draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Fluffal Wings" once per turn.

Fluffal wings' effect can lets you draw 1 card by banishing 1 other "Fluffal" monster including itself from your Graveyard. Then, you can send Toy Vendor that you control to the Graveyard to gain another draw.

Frightfur Tiger
Frightfur Tiger
DARK Fiend ★6
ATK 1900 / DEF 1200
A Soldier from the Fusion Dimension: Sora Perse Unlock Event [UR]
"Edge Imp Sabres" + 1 or more "Fluffal" monsters
When this card is Fusion Summoned: You can target cards on the field, up to the number of Fusion Materials used for its Fusion Summon; destroy them. All "Frightfur" monsters you control gain 300 ATK for each "Fluffal" monster and "Frightfur" monster you control. You can only control 1 "Frightfur Tiger".

A multi-material Frightfur monster. Similar to Junk Destroyer's effect, you can destroy your opponent's field to how many materials (min. 2) were used for its summon. An additional Power Boost Up effect for every Fluffal or Frightfur you control which can let you easily get rid of your opponent's Big Boss Monsters or OTK.

Toy Vendor
Toy Vendor
Continuous Spell
Sora Perse at Lvl 14 and 25 [UR]
Once per turn: You can discard 1 card; draw 1 card and reveal it, then if it is a "Fluffal" monster, you can Special Summon 1 monster from your hand. Otherwise, discard the card you drew. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Edge Imp Sabres" or 1 "Fluffal" monster from your Deck to your hand.

Can be searched by Fluffal Bear. Toy Vendor's first effect will allows you to gain pseudo-Double Summon if there is a Fluffal Monster on the top of your Deck.

Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju

Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju
Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju
FIRE Dinosaur ★8
ATK 3000 / DEF 1200
Link Revolution [UR]
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your opponent's field in Attack Position, by Tributing 1 monster they control. If your opponent controls a "Kaiju" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Attack Position. You can only control 1 "Kaiju" monster. Once per turn: You can remove 3 Kaiju Counters from anywhere on the field; destroy all monsters your opponent controls. This card cannot attack the turn this effect is activated.

Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju is a good option in Invoked Decks as it provides an easy way to get rid of your opponent's problematic monsters while also having decent attack points. Its effect of being able to Special Summon itself to your opponent's field in Attack Position can also be used to clear up space on your field or to remove a monster with a powerful effect that you cannot deal with otherwise.

Inari Fire

Inari Fire
Inari Fire
FIRE Pyro ★4
ATK 1500 / DEF 200
Selection Box Vol. 03 [SR]
You can only control 1 "Inari Fire". If you control a Spellcaster-Type monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once per turn, during your next Standby Phase after this face-up card on the field was destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon it from your Graveyard.

Its ability to Special Summon itself from the hand and from the Graveyard after being destroyed by a card effect can provide additional materials for your Invoked Fusion Summons.

Dotscaper

Dotscaper
Dotscaper
EARTH Cyberse ★1
ATK 0 / DEF 2100
Playmaker and Ai at Lvl 7, 16, and 30 [UR]
If this card is sent to the GY: You can Special Summon this card. If this card is banished: You can Special Summon this card. You can only use 1 "Dotscaper" effect per turn, and only once that turn. You can only use each effect of "Dotscaper" once per Duel.

Dotscaper is a useful card in the Invoked Deck as it provides extra versatility and recovery options. Its ability to Special Summon itself from the GY or when banished can be used to extend your plays and recover from disruptions. It can also serve as a potential target for the Invoked fusion spells, providing additional materials for fusion summoning.

Backrow Removal

Both Mystical Space Typhoon and Cosmic Cyclone are good cards to include in an Invoked Deck as they provide spell/trap removal, which can be crucial in disrupting the opponent's plays and clearing the way for your own.

Mystical Space Typhoon
Mystical Space Typhoon
Quick Spell
Antinomic Theory [UR]
Selection Box Vol.03 Mini [UR]
Target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy that target.

Mystical Space Typhoon is a quick-play spell, which means it can be activated during either player's turn, giving it versatility in both offensive and defensive situations.

Cosmic Cyclone
Cosmic Cyclone
Quick Spell
Galactic Origin [UR]
Selection Box Vol. 01 Mini [UR]
Special Set Bundle Sale [UR]
Pay 1000 LP, then target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; banish it.

Cosmic Cyclone, on the other hand, banishes the targeted card, making it useful against cards that have effects when they're sent to the graveyard, and it also removes the targeted card from the game, which can be advantageous against certain decks that rely on recycling cards from the graveyard. Cosmic Cyclone also makes a good synergy with Destiny Draw Skill Triggering.

Techs

Book of Moon
Book of Moon
Quick Spell
Chaotic Soldiers [UR]
Selection Box Vol.04 [UR]
Target 1 face-up monster on the field; change that target to face-down Defense Position.

Book of Moon can be used defensively to protect your monsters or disrupt your opponent's plays by flipping their monsters face-down.

Concentrating Current
Concentrating Current
Quick Spell
Warriors Unite [SR]
Target 1 face-up monster you control; it gains ATK equal to its DEF, until the end of this turn. Other monsters you control cannot attack the turn you activate this card.

Concentrating Current can be used as a tech option if you want to focus on boosting one particular monster's ATK to deal a massive amount of Battle Damage.

Ice Dragons Prison
Ice Dragons Prison
Normal Trap
Selection Box Vol.06 [UR]
Target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; Special Summon it to your field, but its effects are negated, then, you can banish 1 monster from both players' fields that have the same Type as each other. You can only activate 1 "Ice Dragon's Prison" per turn.

Ice Dragon's Prison can be a situational card in an Invoked Deck as it allows you to steal a monster from your opponent's graveyard and banish a monster from both players' fields that share a type. This can be useful if your opponent has a strong monster in their graveyard that they can easily revive or if they have multiple monsters on the field that share a type.

Floodgate Trap Hole
Floodgate Trap Hole
Normal Trap
Generation Next [UR]
Special Set Bundle Sale [UR]
When your opponent Summons a monster(s): Change that monster(s) to face-down Defense Position. Monsters changed to face-down Defense Position by this effect cannot change their battle positions.

Floodgate Trap Hole can be used to disrupt your opponent's plays by flipping their monsters face-down. This can prevent them from attacking or activating their effects, giving you more control over the game state.

Fusion Reserve
Fusion Reserve
Normal Trap
Valiant Souls [SR]
Reveal 1 Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck, add 1 of the Fusion Materials listed on that card from your Deck to your hand, then you can add 1 "Polymerization" from your Graveyard to your hand.

Fusion Reserve allows you to search for a Fusion Material needed for an Invoked Fusion monster and add Polymerization to your hand. This can help you search for the necessary resources needed to summon your fusion monsters.

Invoked Fusion monsters

Invoked Purgatrio
Invoked Purgatrio
FIRE Fiend ★8
ATK 2300 / DEF 2000
Aerial Assault [UR]
"Aleister the Invoker" + 1 FIRE monster
This card gains 200 ATK for each card your opponent controls. This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.

All of Purgatrio's effects make it a really good damage dealer. When pushing damage, discard Aleister to give Purgatrio a significant ATK boost and deal huge damage with its multi attack effect.

Invoked Magellanica
Invoked Magellanica
EARTH Rock ★8
ATK 3000 / DEF 3300
Dark Dimension [SR]
"Aleister the Invoker" + 1 EARTH monster

It's best to make Magellanica after clearing the field with Black Rose Dragon in the combo mentioned above. Otherwise, he's simply a big beater with high ATK and DEF stats so he doesn't need to worry about Book of Moon.

Invoked Caliga
Invoked Caliga
DARK Beast ★4
ATK 1000 / DEF 1800
Dark Dimension [R]
"Aleister the Invoker" + 1 DARK monster
If a player's monster effect attempts to activate, none of that player's monsters can activate their effects for the rest of this turn while this card is face-up on the field. Each player can attack with only 1 monster during each Battle Phase.

Caliga is a floodgate you can make by using two Aleister as fusion material. The monster effect restriction stops the opponent from performing combos that make use of multiple monster effects such as Noble Knights and Blackwings. The attack restriction helps you stall, making enemy attacks more manageable with the help of your heavy backrow.

Extra Decks

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon
DARK Dragon ★4
ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Phantom of Rebellion [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters
You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes half its current ATK, and if it does, this card gains that lost ATK.

Its effect essentially lets you deal 2500 (its own ATK) damage if this attacks the monster you targeted. The advantage is that your opponent's monster's ATK is also lowered, allowing you to attack over it with your other weaker monsters.

Number 70: Malevolent Sin
Number 70: Malevolent Sin
DARK Insect ★4
ATK 2400 / DEF 1200
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3.

Works great when your opponent only has 1 monster on the field, potentially giving you an OTK chance. Also works well against Xyz monsters since this will remove their materials.

Diamond Dire Wolf
Diamond Dire Wolf
EARTH Beast ★4
ATK 2000 / DEF 1200
Voltage of the Metal [SR]
Selection Box Vol.03 Mini [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast-Type monster you control and 1 other card on the field; destroy them.

You can make a Dire Wolf and destroy an opponent's spell/trap before your normal summon to have safer and uninterrupted play.

Knightmare Unicorn
Knightmare Unicorn
DARK Fiend
ATK 2200 / DEF 3
Future Circuit [UR]
2+ monsters with different names
If this card is Link Summoned: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 card on the field; shuffle it into the Deck, then, if this card was co-linked when this effect was activated, you can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Knightmare Unicorn" once per turn. While any co-linked "Knightmare" monsters are on the field, for your normal draw in your Draw Phase, draw 1 card for each different card name among those co-linked "Knightmare" monsters, instead of drawing just 1 card.

This Link 3 Knightmare Monster not only allows you to shuffle 1 card on either player's board back into Deck (this effect will prevent some card effect trigger action for Graveyard/Floating effect) when it is Link Summoned. Unicorn's co-linked effect will allow you to have 1 Card Draw.

Knightmare Phoenix
Knightmare Phoenix
FIRE Fiend
ATK 1900 / DEF 2
Future Circuit [SR]
2 monsters with different names
If this card is Link Summoned: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls; destroy it, then, if this card was co-linked when this effect was activated, you can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Knightmare Phoenix" once per turn. Co-linked monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle.

A Link 2 Knightmare Monster owns Backrow Removal Effect by discarding 1 card (this effect can combo with Dotscaper). Phoenix's co-linked effect will allows you to have 1 Card Draw and Battle Destruction Protection.

Security Dragon
Security Dragon
LIGHT Cyberse
ATK 1100 / DEF 2
Selection Box Vol.02 Super Mini [SR]
2 monsters
Once while face-up on the field, if this card is co-linked: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; return it to the hand. You can only use this effect of "Security Dragon" once per turn.

A Link 2 Monster with Compulsory Evacuation Device's effect while Security Dragon is co-linked which is great combo disruptive tech to your opponent.

Link Disciple
Link Disciple
LIGHT Cyberse
ATK 500 / DEF 1
Link Revolution [R]
1 Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster
You can Tribute 1 monster this card points to; draw 1 card, then place 1 card from your hand on the bottom of the Deck. You can only use this effect of "Link Disciple" once per turn.

Used as Filter Draw by tributing 1 monster this card points to; works well with Dotscaper (can be special summoned back again due to its own effect), also it can be used to get rid of Knightmare Corruptor Iblee that was special summoned to your field by the opponent.

How dare people play cards that they like.

People only like broken cards. If they don't ban it you will continue to abuse it. Some people insist that they will play Pure Lightsworn but it won't happen. NO they will NOT play pure Lightsworn, they will just abuse that dog everywhere. Just ban that card already because mankind cannot be trusted.

No, the ipiria version is just a stall deck, it has no search power nor recovery.

There was an Ipiria version?

yes it was the usual >10 traps with ipiria and the fire fortune fairy

I would be happy to see people abuse Invoker further until it receive an outright ban.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Wait till they got mechaba and raijin elysium too maybe. Invoker/invocation will goes to limit 2 XD
Even worse purgatrio to 3 or 1
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
nah, we're likely not going to get the other fusions and support cards with how abused the existing cards are. At least, not until probably 1-2 years from now.

If we do get more of their cards soon, I'd expect to see Purgatrio joining Aleister and Invocation in limited 3 first, probably sometime in early next year. And we probably will also see staple traps getting into limited 3 as well.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Also, expect the other fusions to be available for free through event, but only at 1 copy each, to make it easier for players to deal with them.

Or they're available for free through event but also obtainable at 3 copies, but since they're free, they're getting hit by banlist fast after 1 month of abuse (see what happened to Star Blast for example).
Pimp pickle
Is 3 purgatrio really necessary because I was thinking of running 1 or 2 only

I'd recommend at least 2. You usually don't need the third one because the duel ends quite fast.

ooh boi I'm so excited; what will be the new archetype dying because of aleister? Will it be fortune fairies? Maybe magician girls? Or perhaps roids?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yeah I hate this instance, for example Lightsworn is already not in the tier list but since their engine is abused, the pure version was nerfed as well.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
No archetype dies because of Aleister, but all archetypes become better. Magician Girls and Fortune Fairies cannot be played competitively without him, especially Fortune Fairies, so ur statement is completely wrong. Will anyone play Element Saber now Aleister is limited ? None. So Elementsaber died actually
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Lightsworn got nerfed thats why I keep repeating to everyone that donks who pay for this game like Selection Boxes have no future. Look at all ur money u invested in Levianeer now FLUSHED IN THE TOILET lol
Anonymous
Even Concentrated Current is missing from this deck. So basically Cocytus wont even be able to OTK vs backrow boards. Probably the llast deck Element saber and this one have been made by the same maniac. The skill also is much better with Yami Yugi Destiny draw, and 3 fusion reserves is excessively stupid since U will often draw 1 Aleister if you use 3. Looks like the goal of this website is to always show the most expensive way of playin but not the best

Flip flop frog saw a lot of tournament use back in late 2018-early 2019. A decent xard, with non targeting and reuseable effect. Also, one of the first cards incorporated in invoked deck, before the release of elementsabers. Far better than kiteroid.
