You can only use each of these effects of "D Cubed" once per turn.● You can discard up to 2 cards; Special Summon the same number of "D Cubed" from your hand, Deck, and/or Graveyard, also you cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except "Destiny HERO" monsters.● If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can send 1 "Destiny HERO" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.

Destiny HERO - Plasma

Destiny HERO - Dogma

D Cubed can really good to help summon Plasma and/or Dogma, but the price of needing 2 discards to swarm the field and needing to have either Plasma or Dogma in your hand to summon makes it pretty difficult. You can discard a D Cubed from your hand to special summon it from the grave, but the card disadvantage is about the same. Since Plasma can be special summoned using any 3 monsters as tribute, there are better ways to summon it, but since Dogma requires at least 1 Destiny Hero monster, D Cubed can be a good option to summon it.

Can you activate the discard effect from hand to discard itself and special summon the same copy from grave and/or another from deck without using your normal summon? If so this card is actually amazing for a free self special summon with optional 2nd body and is essentially like faris. Seems to me that should be the case based on other similar cards and the text saying you can only normal summon D heros for the rest of the turn implying you could activate the effect from hand without summoning it first no?

My apologies if I come off argumentative. Just getting back into the game after 10+ years and clearly konami is too lazy to create a comprehensive rules database for their own game after taking it back over from upperdeck lol. This makes little sense to me honestly as the card clearly has a summon from hand, deck or grave effect with a discard cost to activate. Poor translation or design I suppose

Those cards that activate in gy say it or imply it in their cost, they have text like "You can [cost]; special summon this card from your GY...", "While this card is in your GY;...". As an example check Fortune Lady Every effect or check Machina Fortress, it has parenthesis that tells you the effect can be activated in both hand and GY

That's exactly the issue here. If it would say "this card", you could activate that effect from your hand or GY.

This makes more sense now after reading various other cards. Text has to specify "this card" from hand or GY, otherwise it can only be activated while on the field. Thanks everyone for the input!

Why am I unable to use a normal summoned D Cubed and a special summoned D cubed as fusion materials for Destiny Hero Dangerous? One counts as a Destiny Hero, one is a dark effect monster, and Dangerous falls in line with D Cubed's summon limitation. So what am I missing here?

Its coz of d fusion effect. You can only use Destiny Hero cards as material. So the special summoned d cubed cant be used.. coz its not a destiny hero

Nevermind. Please disregard. Others are special summoned as you said, so not treated as Destiny HERO.

D Fusion isn't bugged you can only use Destiny hero monsters.

Only the Normal Summoned D Cubed counts as a Destiny Hero, the special summoned ones aren't Destiny hero monsters.

One of perfect monster for summon plasma or dogma because you can special summon plasma or dogma even after you summon d cubed
