If Degenerate Circuit is on your field. Scrap Twin Dragon will banish 2 of your opponent’s cards instead of returning them to the hand.

Destroying Own Cards

Here are the cards you can destroy when activating Scrap Twin Dragon’s effect to regain your loss.

Nephthys monsters like to be destroyed by card effects to trigger their own effects. Scrap Twin Dragon can be used to trigger these effects while disrupting your opponent’s field.

The hell. Why would you use this over most wurm?

1. This is once per turn, while Mist Wurm's effect is once only (when it is summoned)

2. Scrap plussing by destroying themselves

3. This card floats into a non-Synchro Scrap when destroyed

Only disadvantage is that you're locked into using Scrap tuner when using this card.

Also mist wurm need 2 non-tuners to bring, while this one, none. you can use scrap goblin with level augmentation on a lv3 monsters and another lv3
This may be like a fine wine, as it will get better with age as it’s non targeting removing

It does target, all of its Rulings mentioned the word "target".
why would you use this when you can bring out laval dragun with very little setup and bounce pretty much all of your opponent's cards without giving up any advantage though

destroy 1 card to return 2 vs shuffle 4 to return 2. lavaval also dont benefit from the cost. scraps do.
I like the special summon ability a lot, usually it grant an extra layer of protection to avoid being OTK'd
