Similar to the other Cerberus farming decks, the main aim of this deck is to get Cerberus by using the skill and buff it up with all 19 spell cards in the deck to get over 10,000 attack. With the addition of the new bamboo cards, it can help you with your draws to speed up the farming process. While this might not always give you 8k+ points, it's quite a fast method to farm for some cards, and works best during events that give an extra 1000 pts.
The example deck is not for all level 40 Legendary Duelists, but with some modifications to it, it can work against a majority of them. It will also work on most level 30 for a quick and spammable farm.
Draw Sense: LIGHT Can be used each time your Life Points decrase by 1500. In the Draw Phase, instead of doing a normal draw, draw a random Light attribute monster.
In the first turn, if you don't get Cerberus in your starting hand, simply pass the turn until you take 1500/1800 damage. Use the skill on your next draw phase then use your spell cards to boost Cerberus' attack. If your opponent tends to have high OTK potential early, then make sure to bring more defensive cards like Enemy Controller. Take note of your opponent's highest attack monster so you know how high you need to get it to as early as possible.
The Bamboo Sword cards lets you keep reusing them for more spell counters, attack directly, as well as allowing you to use Golden Bamboo Sword for some draws.
Cursed Bamboo Sword: This card lets you return another equipped bamboo card back to your hand. This means that each turn you can equip another bamboo for a spell counter, return it using cursed, and equip it again for 2 spell counters in a turn. This is also how you will be able to direct attack on the last turn, which means that you need at least 1 cursed with another cursed or broken bamboo.
Broken Bamboo Sword: 1 is put in the deck so that you can throw 2 cursed into the graveyard to search for the golden bamboos.
Golden Bamboo Sword: Only usable if you have a bamboo equip card on the field. After using this once, you can use Magical Stone Excavation to fetch it from the graveyard. Preferably by using cursed bamboos as the cost, which can help with thinning your deck.
Use these once you have Cerberus out on the field. They are useful for deck thinning and giving spell counters, but if you want to tech in counters against certain LDs, they are easily replaceable since they are not necessary in the deck. Mallet is used for shuffling them back into the deck if you happen to draw multiple of them to your hand.
While cards like Spell Power and Gather Mind can help speed up the process, you can change them with glossy or prismatic cards for more Duel Assessment points. Using a glossy card will give 100 points each, while prismatic will give 200 each. Re-using the cards will not give you any points.
Which Legendary Duelist will this work against?
Theoretically, this deck can work on all the Legendary Duelists if you get lucky with the cards before your opponent draws the ones that can stop it, especially since you don't even have to keep drawing until you run out of cards left in your deck. You can end the duel early using Cursed Bamboo to attack directly. This deck emphasizes HEAVILY not on consistency, but on speed, which is why it works best during the extra 1,000 points events. But you can always make it more consistent against certain LDs by putting in more defensive spell/trap cards like Enemy Controller, Forbidden Chalice, or Riryoku Field. Here are a few things to note if you want to use this to farm certain LDs:
Draw Sense: LIGHT is always better to use than Draw Sense: Low-Level since the damage taken requirement is 1,500 (while Low-Level is 1,800). This can be tricky against certain LDs if many of their monsters have low attack or have an OTK potential if you have no monsters.
Cerberus decks relies on having its attack high enough to a point where a Legendary Duelist can't get over it without using their spell/trap cards. Check the deck of the LD that you want to farm and see if they can counter your Cerberus.
It can still work on LDs like Zane and Chazz since they only have 1 or 2 copies of cards to handle a high attack Cerberus, but you'll need to draw faster than your opponent.
