Works well with Reverse Trap.
Can be equipped to a monster your opponent controls. Which will reduce their attack by 1000 and not be able to attack directly.

Cons

If used for offense, the ATK loss is huge.

Tips

Best used defensively, but you can use it offensively if you can close out the game. Excellent for farming, especially when used by Cerberus.

This is so horribly worded/misleading. The subject is equipped monster, "it" should refer to the equip monster, therefore the opponent is whoever is opposing the equip monster. Not the owner of the bow's opponent.

Lost a couple of battles before coming here.

"it" does refer to the monster. If you wanted the card to do what you want it to it would have to say " but it can attack its opponent directly". Since the equip spell is controlled by the owner, the monster would only be able to attack the opponent of the equip spell.

Shooting Star Bow - Ceal Dont work after Union Attack

I just encountered a very strange bug involving this card while duelling against the Reverse Trap Standard Duelist. He equipped Shooting Star Bow - Ceal onto my creature but on my turns I could not attack his life points directly? (Even on Auto-Duel, my character did not attack.)

Later in the duel he equipped his own monster with a Star Bow and he didn't attack me directly either.

There were no other cards on the field preventing us from attacking.

Thank you for your information. That is exactly wired. Although I am not sure why that happened and I cannot fix it since I am not an official developer, this comment will help you other players who encounter the same problem.

Same thing occurred when I was duelling against Pegasus. Apparently when he recovered my equip card he just played on my Rogue Doll but I couldn't attack directly.

I know that I'm replying this to an old comment. But just incase if anyone still wondering.

The word "opponent" is referring to the opponent of this card.

If A use this card on A's monster, it can atk B directly.
If A use this card on B's monster, it cannot attack A directly.

Because if A activate this, B is labeled as the "opponent".

Depends on what you're getting the Union Attack boost from. The over 9999 damage bonus is pretty valuable. It'd be fine for something like Cerberus for sure, though.

This game needs a hotkey for direct attack asap. The touch screen is so unreliable for direct attacks, always randomly selecting monsters in the way.

It always works for me.

BUGGED CARD,
when enemy equiped the bow on you, you cant direct attack,
but if u equip the bow on yourself you still can direct attack

The card says 'can attack your opponent directly', so if they equip it on you you're still the opponent - and can't attack yourself directly.

If you have exodius the ultimate forbidden lord and 10 normal monsters in graveyard you could use shooting star bow to bring you quick victory
