The Ultimate Rising

The Ultimate Rising is the first box in the game. With cards that can help both new and veteran players alike with its versatility.

Age of Discovery is the second box introduced in the game, also the first mini box in the game. It gives more water monsters along with the support cards that can make summoning Levia-Dragon - Daedalus to wipe the field easier.

Will cards come back to the game?

These packs will be available again on May 17th, announced officially through the in-game news announcement. This is to prepare players for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links World Champion, as well as helping the Korean players who never got access to the boxes because of their late launch.

Should Gems be spent for them?

Absolutely yes. The 1st expansion, the Ultimate Rising, has a lot of versatile cards represented by Sphere Kuriboh and Order to Charge. The second, Age of Discovery, contains cards necessary to Umi decks, such as Levia-Dragon - Daedalus and Unshaven Angler.

Speculations

The next booster to be rotated out will most likely be Neo-Impact, together with the mini box Flame of the Tyrant, or just by itself. Like The Ultimate Rising, it also has great cards in it such as Mirror Wall, Senju of the Thousand Hands, and many other useful SR cards.

Disclaimer: This is merely a prediction. The next box to be rotated is yet to be revealed officially.

because back then only 1 card pack existed and 1700 was highest atk monster, times have changed... remember this is the first card pack..

The first card pack doesn't have Grepher and the Axe Raider has the highest atk when the first 2 packs came out last year. Of course, META has been changing and it's expected this to happen.

I really hope Konami could put a decent gems farming mean in the game. The weekly KoG doesn't nearly give enough for one 10 packs pull, nor batling and hoping for gems against AI.
Once you have all characters maxed out and at stage 60, you are hard trying like a dog...

Cool, as a f2p, I've saved up 8k+ gems, so buying out TUR to power up my Relinquished deck for the new tournament sounds like just the thing. As much as I love my Red-Eyes, there is no way I am dishing out another 4k gems for that Chick, esspecially now that Kaibaman exists, so anything left over is likely to go into NI over AoD for me. I can smell the 2 Senju/Bird already!

i am nom at stage 44 and i have no gems
should move to next stages or just stay at 44

If you have the cards for farming SD on level 44 and above, then i suggest you to increase your stage.

All LD lv 40 give you a chance to get 10 gems reward. If you have bunch of keys, then farm them . I got more than 1k gems in a week just from farming LD.

People don't understand the struggles beginners face.

The decks which can be strengthened by these 2 discontinued packs are:

People forget to ask the question!

What decks to beginners start off playing with first?

Every beginner has to chose between Yugi or Kiaba at start.

Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is only in 1 box pack which was discontinued!

How can the beginner summon Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon if he never has access to the card?

I say this so everyone can understand.
Bringing back the packs is very good!
It is a good thing they are doing here!
It helps beginners.

im 🔥in 🔥 at bandai. i started duel links a week ago with any no knowledge. i really enjoyed the game but as the time passes i wanted to make my first deck. so i researched informations but when i realized the the packs are not available i didnt understand what they did and still now.
the packs have been released for only 4 months and a lot of oldbies would not get enough cards not to mention newbies. i would not be 🔥 if valkyres rage pack is powerful as those two packs but it isnt. and jerks in here is saying a 🔥 like they announced month ago but hey we are freakin newbie dumbass. this will bring a polarization of quality of deck between newbie and oldbie. this is really serious one guys be conscious please :(

Probably not, unless you are early in the game where you still get a lot of gems. When you are in (semi) late game, you won't be able to get a lot of packs, since the late game in this game really sucks balls in terms of gem-farming.

If you already max-out your stage & all duelist level, i think you won't be able to get enough of gems.
same as me bro, i spent almost 6k gems to collect cards that i need from CC & VR pack lately, because i thought UR pack won't appear this soon. But on't worry, they don't make a limited time to this pack to appear until discontinued again, so there a time to farm gems, even after this 17th May.

Normally when they release a new box they give everyone 500 gems but im not sure about re released boxes

The complainers have a point. Comparing this to real life discontinuation is ridiculous. IRL even after prints were discontinued there was still a supply available for a long time if you searched for them... There also were decks purchasable which would have copies of staple cards available often only available from the discontinued packs.

Furthermore there is no trading in game. The issue would be far less impactful with trading in place.

Another point is that cards were more available in real life. Packs contained more cards and the rarity for the most part was more balanced. Especially when the dark beginnings reprints came out.
