A new legendary duelist, Vellian Crowler, will be coming to Duel Links! You must unlock Yu-Gi-Oh! GX world first to play the unlock event. This page is currently based on the last Crowler unlock event and will be updated.

How to play

Defeat/farm Vellian Crowler to gain event points! Once you get 300,000 points, Vellian Crowler will be unlocked as a playable character. You'll also have Gems, Jewels, Gold, and event exclusive rewards by earning points.

Homework

Finish homework (event missions) assigned by Dr. Crowler to earn event points!

EX Jewel

You'll get EX Jewels during the event. That item can be traded for event exclusive cards at Card Trader.

Ancient Gear needs Wall of Disruption(s), multiple Floodgates, and SRHs for better optimization. Mirror Wall is highly optional though, as mirror matches with Ancient Gear does not need any Mirror Wall. That said, if you think you have already done a good deck without the cards mentioned above, you're being whimsically hopeful. Aside from Econs and Rare Metalmorphs, WoDs and Floodgates are needed.

Nah. Mausoleum, econs plus sergeant Electro plus fenghuang = ez win. Oh but the point of golems is you can ignore backrow? I find the added pressure wrecks my opponents' gameplan

Drop rate was good in this event... and if it was not, you still have Ex jewels and event rewards... What annoy me the most is the drop rate of Gems. During every events, it's easy to win Gems by farming. During this event, you only have Ex Jewels.

I got "last gamble" skill drop from this guy. Now hunting destiny draw for Yugi, 4-6k is not really hard for my angry beast farming deck.

to unlock lv 50 you must get about more than 3 million points, and you can challenge him again at about more than 4 mil points.
FYI he doesn't appear at the gate (only in duel world and only at that time) so if you can you must beat it at first attempt to get 25 jewel mission

It's not about points or lvl 40 defeat, it's all about schedule.

I already had over 3 millions points the second day. But it appeared today and it appeared for all users.

He has the same drops as level 40 Crowler, but he has a higher point multiplier (x20)

I wasted 2 events in the past because I didn't spend any of them. I thought that I can collect a lot of them to buy something pricier like Big Shield Gardna (300 Ex Jewel) in the future event. But then. WASTED.

he unlocks in Gx world..so run a char from there, he'll popup.

Hi,

I got lvl 50 appeared today, after defeating LVL 40 in duel world not the gate.

The number of points is not a factor, the number of times you defeat lvl 40 in duel world is the key, I am pretty sure it's when you win 10 times against lvl 40 in the DW

Then, it means you got pretty good starter hand (Ocean, Fishermen, Barrier + other 1 card). Other time, you gonna brick half the time.
