Can trigger search effect when this card was added from deck or graveyard to your hand, except by drawing it.

Cons

Quite hard to trigger its effect of adding 1 EARTH Machine-type monster with 500 ATK / DEF from deck to hand.
The EARTH Machine-type monster must be exactly 500 ATK or 500 DEF.
Cannot search for another Ancient Gear Box.

Tips, Related Cards, Rulings

This card is really only useful for searching Ancient Gear Cannon out faster. And you cannot draw this card out normally to trigger its effect, which makes it a challenge and less versatile.
Realistically it is less useful in an Ancient Gear deck because it cannot contribute to your offense nor provide any versatile effect to support your assault.

I fail to see how this is useful as a lvl reward. Its only good if you have a lot of Gear Knights your trying to get into play. Sure its a good blocker, but so is a creature with 2000 attack like, idk, Wyvern with Gear Castle effect up.

Because you search it with AG Wyvern, AG Box's search effect triggers, then you end up with +2 cards in your hand. This makes it much easier to turbo out UAGG.

Konami give us Wyvern and I'll forgive you for this being a 45 reward.

Since ancient gear awakening this card is absolutely fantastic. Wyvern or ultimate pound can add it to your hand to get an extra ancient gear soldier or frame. Ancient gear workshop already worked in the past. Favo combo now is to discard ancient gear box to GY via gear frame to get gear golem to hand and then use gear workshop to get gear box and gear soldier. Voila, 2 gear monsters and a golem. Fusion time!

Ancient Gear Wyvern is getting released and combos with this for an easy +2 card advantage.

You can also use Box's effect to search for AG Knight or the newly released AG Frame.

This is one of the (if not) best most useless ultimate level reward card of all the characters. it's so niche and terrible that I'll pay konami to take back the card.

Kemo Sabe

Painful Escape can help search this card. Monster Reincarnation works too. But its DNF dumb 🔥 🔥 when there is only one Gear Box in the game. Good job Komoney
