This deck centers around Rainbow Dragon and Rainbow Overdragon, two of the three “Ultimate Crystal” monsters. Despite the fact that we are still lacking a pretty important card (Ultimate Crystal Magic), thanks to the Skill Transcendent Crystals and cards like Crystal Bond, Rare Value and The Melody of Awakening Dragon, Summoning these two monsters is surprisingly not that difficult. This deck is not intended for competitive purposes, but a lot of decks will have trouble dealing with monsters with such high ATK.

Transcendent Crystals Send 1 to 3 cards from your hand to the Graveyard. Choose the same number of "Crystal beast" monster(s) from your Deck as the number of cards you sent from your hand to Graveyard, and place it/them tin your Spell/Trap Zone as. This Skill can only be used once per turn, and twice per Duel. | Jesse Anderson |
You can Special Summon Rainbow Dragon from your hand by having 7 "Crystal Beast" cards with different names on your field or in your Graveyard. Thanks to the Skill Transcendent Crystals, you can send up to three cards from your hand to the Graveyard and then place the same number of “Crystal Beast” monsters from your Deck to your Spell/Trap Zone, which means you can get up to 6 of the 7 cards required to Summon this monster on your field or in your Graveyard all at once, but, after filling completely your Spell/Trap Zone, you wouldn’t be able to activate Rare Value or Set Crystal Raigeki anymore, so most of the times you will send just two cards from your Deck to your hand via your Skill.
You can use Melody of Awakening Dragon to add Rainbow Dragon from your Deck to your hand since it does have more than 3000 ATK and less than 2500 DEF. Ideally, you want to discard one of the “Crystal Beast” monsters you need to Summon Rainbow Dragon to activate this card.
When Rainbow Dragon is Summoned, the “Crystal Beast” monsters in your Graveyard and/or Spell/Trap Zone are not banished or shuffled back into your Deck, so you can Summon another one right away. You can send the “Crystal Beast” monsters in your Spell/Trap Zone or Monster Zone to the Graveyard to increase Rainbow Dragon’s ATK by 1000 for each card sent and you can do this during either player’s turn since it’s a Quick Effect.
Rainbow Dragon also has another effect that allows you to shuffle all cards on the field back into the Deck by banishing all “Crystal Beast” monsters from your Graveyard, but, since this is an Ignition Effect, meaning you can only activate it during your Main Phase, you are not going to activate it that often. The ATK gained by the first effect is permanent as long as Rainbow Dragon is face-up on the field, but unfortunately, you can’t activate any of its effects the turn its Summoned, so you will have to wait for your next turn for that unless your opponent decides to attack into a 4000 ATK monster.
The latest addition to the rather small “Ultimate Crystal” archetype is Rainbow Overdragon, a Level 12 Fusion Monster that, just like Rainbow Dragon has 4000 ATK and 0 DEF. There are two ways to Summon this monster, but in this deck, we are just going to focus on the most viable one.
You can Special Summon Rainbow Overdragon directly from your Extra Deck by Tributing a Level 10 “Ultimate Crystal” monster. The only available card that meets these requirements is Rainbow Dragon and, even if the entire archetype was in the game, we would only have another candidate.
Once per turn, you can banish 1 "Crystal Beast" monster from your GY to make this card gain ATK equal to the banished monster until the end of this turn. This is not a Quick Effect, but, unlike Rainbow Dragon, Rainbow Overdragon can activate its effect the turn it’s Summoned. Most of the times you will banish Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus from your Graveyard, which means that this monster will be able to reach 5800 ATK. The other effect can only be activated if Rainbow Overdragon was Fusion Summoned, so you can pretty much ignore it.
Use Crystal Bond to add Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus to your hand and place any other “Crystal Beast” monster in your Spell/Trap Zone from your Deck. Normal Summon Pegasus, place another “Crystal Beast” monster in your Spell/Trap Zone from your Deck and then activate Rare Value to start drawing cards.
Rare Value has great synergy with your Skill: it allows you to draw two cards by making your opponent send one of two “Crystal Beast” monsters in your Spell/Trap Zone to the Graveyard, meaning you will still have at least one for Crystal Raigeki.

It would honestly be just painful to run this deck without this Skill. Transcendent Crystals allows you to set up for Rainbow Dragon, Rainbow Overdragon, Rare Value or even Crystal Beacon.
