Leviair "stealing" Spectralsword is hardly considered close to delaying Shiranui deck. If Spectralsword is still in the banish zone when you summon Leviair, it would mean they don't have a way to recover it from the banish zone yet (Solitaire/Spectralsword Shade).

Your "stealing" move only helps them put Spectralsword back to their grave.

While I agree with you, most shiranui builds now only have a single spectral sword and 2 shades. That's why I think if they will hit the deck again they'll put shogunsaga/sunsaga to limited to 3, just to remove Cosmic cyclone from the deck. The deck wont be affected muh but they will loose access to easy backrow removal.

Personnally whenever I meet Shiranui in the ladder, I get lots of wins against them. Its a very good deck but it has weaknesses and counters like all, Shiranui got nerfed 3 times and a 4th one would make no sense, since tons of decks now have ways to neutralize the gy, even Aromages hv a chance vs Shira. Konami must release new decks, not nerf the meta

Just because a new world is released doesn't mean the deck also needs the new cards.

It does just fine running only Synchros, since most of them have different Levels anyway.

For generic backrow and handtraps, put Kiteroid, Sphere Kuriboh, Fiendish Chain, Karma Cut, Bad Aim, Floodgate Trap Hole, Raigeki Break, Dimensional Prison, Wall of Disruption, Ballista Squad, and Power of the Guardians on limited 3.

That's how you do proper hits that also helps selling the newer boxes, Konami.

Here's my review of wind-ups (yeah I know nobody cares)

So: How does this deck starts it's combos? Looking at it I can say it is very shark; you'll need shark + any wind up monster to start a play, with only 3 copies in a 20 cards deck it looks like you'll brick very often. Any opening hand without shark is just set and pass.

They can swarm very easily (supposing you opened shark) with magician and zenmaity...now lest see what they can use that swarm capabilities for:

-boss monsters: Zenmaines is sadly a very slow stall tool, to get a benefit for its effect you have to actively ram it into a monster just to get rid of 1 card, losing a chunk of lp since it has low stats.

It does lower their odds, though.

At the end of the day, Konami will release a character if they see a reason to (whether that's a niche they fill, lack of available options in a given series, cardpool or popularity of the character.) Granted, I don't think Vetrix really fits any of those unless they really want an anti-Xyz duelist and they don't want to use Kite for it.

I was never expecting Quinton to be playable in the first place, anyway. (Note he is also one of my favourite Zexal characters.) Quattro's somewhat likely I guess, but his strong rivalry with Shark gives him enough of a reason to be there. Trey would be the only one it'd feel slightly weird for IMO, he honestly didn't stand out on his own to me.

You can make it work with some adjustments: add Batteryman Solar,

normal summon mahunder/mahunder->use the effect to normal summon Batteryman Solar->send Vylon Prism to gy->rank into corn ship-> battle tuned to get a 1500 atk buff.

Heraldic sucks too. It's Gagaga all over again, in that they swarm the field only to be used as Xyz Material.

Even worse in fact, since Heraldic is pretty much restricted to Rank 4 only, due to not having in-theme level-changing cards. Gagaga at least can change their level to suit different Ranks, so they have more options. We don't have enough good Rank 4 in the game yet.
