Normal Trap
Truth Universe [R]
Activate only if you control a face-up "Malefic" monster. Select 1 monster your opponent controls, and destroy it.

Techs

Book of Moon
Book of Moon
Quick Spell
Chaotic Soldiers [UR]
Selection Box Vol.04 [UR]
Target 1 face-up monster on the field; change that target to face-down Defense Position.

Book of Moon is an extremely versatile card that fits the control aspect of this deck. Flipping a monster face-down exposes weak DEF stats and is a good way of turning off continuous effects. Additionally, combos that involve Synchros and Xyz require the monster to be face up so this is a good way to disrupt them.

Ice Dragons Prison
Ice Dragons Prison
Normal Trap
Selection Box Vol.06 [UR]
Target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; Special Summon it to your field, but its effects are negated, then, you can banish 1 monster from both players' fields that have the same Type as each other. You can only activate 1 "Ice Dragon's Prison" per turn.

Ice Dragon's Prison can be a useful tech choice in the Malefic deck to remove threats from your opponent's field and add a monster to your side. It also has the added benefit of banishing a monster from both players' fields if they have the same type, which can help clear the board and set up future plays. However, it can be situational and may not always be the most effective option.

Compulsory Evacuation Device
Compulsory Evacuation Device
Normal Trap
Selection Box Vol.04 Mini [UR]
Target 1 monster on the field; return that target to the hand.

Very powerful monster removal card that can disrupt your opponent's combo easily.

Extra Decks

Cyber End Dragon
LIGHT Machine ★10
ATK 4000 / DEF 2800
Zane Truesdale [UR]
"Cyber Dragon" + "Cyber Dragon" + "Cyber Dragon"
A Fusion Summon of this card can only be done with the above Fusion Material Monsters. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.

Summon Material for Malefic Cyber End Dragon.

Ruddy Rose Dragon
Ruddy Rose Dragon
FIRE Dragon ★10
ATK 3200 / DEF 2400
Ruddy Rose Burning [UR]
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters

If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can banish all cards from the GYs, then, if this card was Synchro Summoned using "Black Rose Dragon" or a Plant Synchro Monster as material, you can destroy all other cards on the field. When your opponent activates a card or effect that would destroy a card(s) (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; negate the activation, then you can Special Summon 1 "Black Rose Dragon" from your Extra Deck or GY.

Enhance Ver. of Black Rose Dragon but banish all cards from the GYs instead of wiping out the board when Ruddy Rose Dragon is synchro summoned.

This effect might be good for removing sources from your opponent's graveyard which is very effective against the Decks that mostly rely on GY like The Phantom Knights, Galaxy and Burning Abyss. However, this will also affect to your GY as well, so you need to think wisely before activate this effect.

Vermillion Dragon Mech
Vermillion Dragon Mech
FIRE Machine ★9
ATK 2700 / DEF 1800
Blazing Rose [UR]
Selection Box Vol. 03 [UR]
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
Once per turn: You can banish 1 Tuner from your hand, field, or Graveyard, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it. If this Synchro Summoned card is destroyed by card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 of your banished Tuners; add it to your hand.

Vermillion Dragon Mech can be a good addition to a Malefic deck in Duel Links. Its effect allows you to banish a Tuner monster from your hand, field, or Graveyard to target and destroy any card on the field once per turn. This can be a powerful way to clear your opponent's cards and make way for your Malefic monsters to attack.

Additionally, if Vermillion Dragon Mech is destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard, its effect allows you to add one of your banished Tuners (Malefic Parallel Gear in this case) back to your hand. This can help you to recover resources and keep your plays going even if your Synchro monster is destroyed.

Stardust Dragon
Stardust Dragon
WIND Dragon ★8
ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Selection Box Vol. 03 [UR]
Stardust Acceleration [UR]
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that would destroy a card(s) on the field: You can Tribute this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. During the End Phase, if this effect was activated this turn (and was not negated): You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard.

Summon Material for Malefic Stardust Dragon. Keep in mind that although Stardust Dragon can be revived by Paradigm Dragon, you cannot special summon from your Graveyard during the End Phase if you activate Stardust's card destruction negation effect by tributing itself since this card is not Synchro Summoned Properly.

Ravenous Crocodragon Archethys
Ravenous Crocodragon Archethys
WATER Fish ★9
ATK 1000 / DEF 1000
Stars of Synchro [SR]
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters
Gains 500 ATK/DEF for each card in your hand. You can only use each of the following effects of "Ravenous Crocodragon Archethys" once per turn.

● If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can draw cards equal to the number of non-Tuners used for its Synchro Summon.
● (Quick Effect): You can discard 2 cards, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it.

A Level 9 Synchro "Slifer the Sky Dragon" with max 2 Free Card Draw while Ravenous Crocodragon is Synchro Summoned. Ravenous Crocodragon's Speed 2 removal effect uses cost from hand card, but use this effect wisely to prevent your hand sources losing. Overall its a decent beater with a targeting removal effect.

Assault Blackwing - Onimaru the Divine Thunder
Assault Blackwing - Onimaru the Divine Thunder
DARK Winged Beast ★12
ATK 3000 / DEF 2000
Aerial Assault [R]
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
If this card is Synchro Summoned using a "Blackwing" monster as Material, it is treated as a Tuner while face-up on the field. Cannot be destroyed by card effects. You can target 1 "Blackwing" monster in your Graveyard; this card's Level becomes the same as that monster's. You can only use this effect of "Assault Blackwing - Onimaru the Divine Thunder" once per Duel. If this card that was Synchro Summoned using only Synchro Monsters attacks, this card gains 3000 ATK during the Damage Step only.

Onimaru is a 3000 ATK beater immune to destruction effects. But even if you don't summon him with Synchro monsters as materials, he's still a powerful beater with destruction immunity.

Malefic Paradox Dragon
Malefic Paradox Dragon
DARK Dragon ★10
ATK 4000 / DEF
Truth Universe [R]
"Malefic Parallel Gear" + 1 non-Tuner "Malefic" monster
When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can select 1 Synchro Monster in either player's Graveyard, and Special Summon it. There can only be 1 face-up "Malefic Paradox Dragon" on the field. If "Malefic World" is not face-up on the field, destroy this card.

A Level 10 "Malefic" Synchro Monster with 4000 ATK stats and Synchro Monsters (either player's Graveyard) revival effect which will allows you to deal massive amount of Battle Damage with these monsters.

Number 68: Sanaphond the Sky Prison
Number 68: Sanaphond the Sky Prison
DARK Rock ★8
ATK 2100 / DEF 2700
Infinite Ray [R]
Fantastic Arc [R]
2 Level 8 monsters
Gains 100 ATK and DEF for each monster in the GYs. Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; until the end of your opponent's next turn, this card cannot be destroyed by card effects, also neither player can Special Summon monsters from the GYs.

Sanaphond is another powerful Rank-8 you can make. The Deck does a lot of discarding, so late game Sanaphond should easily reach 3000+ ATK. The detach effect is also very powerful, doubling as both protection and graveyard control.

Other Cards Option

Other Techs

Void Trap Hole
Void Trap Hole
Normal Trap
Resonance of Contrast [SR]
Selection Box Vol. 01 Mini [SR]
When your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) with 2000 or more ATK: Negate the effects of 1 of those monsters with 2000 or more ATK, and if you do, destroy it.

Void Trap Hole is a great answer to Elemental HERO Sunrise, Ruddy Rose Dragon, Meklord Astro Dragon Triskelion and many other monsters that are very popular in the current meta.

This Trap Card can negate the effects of an opponent’s monster with 2000 ATK or more that was Special Summoned and then destroy it.

Floodgate Trap Hole
Floodgate Trap Hole
Normal Trap
Generation Next [UR]
Special Set Bundle Sale [UR]
When your opponent Summons a monster(s): Change that monster(s) to face-down Defense Position. Monsters changed to face-down Defense Position by this effect cannot change their battle positions.

Flipping monsters face-down is a good way to disrupt your opponent's combo by turning off effects and exposing weak stats. Also, face-down monsters cannot be used as Synchro or Xyz material.

Bottomless Trap Hole
Bottomless Trap Hole
Normal Trap
Selection Box Vol.05 [UR]
When your opponent Summons a monster(s) with 1500 or more ATK: Destroy that monster(s) with 1500 or more ATK, and if you do, banish it.

With the new skills and cards, this deck could be really fun. But it requires a lot of URs from a bad box.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
The box itself is not bad. It contains many of the D/D/D cards. But right now it's probably too late to invest in D/D/D anyway and the Malefic cards themselves aren't worth it too.
<< Anonymous

It is, most d/d/d have been already reprinted, even if you attempted to build a few you'd hit de ad end since you need the SD one way or another.

Took me a bit to realize why Malefic Red-Eyes is in the standard deck despite no copies of the of original Red-Eyes present. The reason is Malefic Parallel Gear allowing the use of Malefics in the hand as Synchro Material.

You can also use paradox gear from your graveyard as tribute for the summon of any malefic monster that requires its original counterpart to be sent to the gv from your deck.

What's the point adding Melody and Selector when you already have Malefic World?? Better replace it with backrow removal or TTH so you can trigger Truth Dragon's summoning condition

I really don’t see the appeal to them seeing as most decks work without any back row whatsoever and with 3 in your deck your basically hoping to survive off 1000 life points. That’s perfectly fine with decks like Aromage or Cyber Dragons but those deck already have great backrow control without it. In my opinion it’s overhyped but if you having fun with 3 CC then I’m happy for you.

Your goal is not to use all 3 of them, you run 3 cosmic to draw them early and use them to remove backrow and then activate your skills. A lot of the best decks are quite backrow heavy such as shiranui and invoked, not to mention WoD/drowning is still being used to catch people off.
