Malefic is a terrible archetype and this card is easy to remove (just pop the field spell lol)

On the other hand, we've had R cards that ends up being broken (Amazoness Onslaught, anyone?)

hey axe raider was meta at some moment, actually it was meta for more days than Infernity, satellarknight, Mermail, wind-up and d/d/d combined.

It's a play on the archetype's OCG name, and a nod towards the deck's user's belief about how Duel Monsters lead to the destruction of the future.

The Japanese name for this archetype, "Sin", is meant as a pun on the words for "truth" ("shin") and "sin" ("tsumi"), alluding to the truth of human nature as seen by Paradox - that humanity's errors have led to the world's destruction.

*Spoiler Alert for YuGiOh 5ds, season 4*

The guy who plays the deck, Paradox, is from the same doomed future as Aporia, Antimony, and Z-One. As a matter of fact, they were the last survivors of the Meklord Genocide until the began succumbing to disease and old age. Z-One sent a duplicate of Paradox back in time to attempt to have the course of history avoid their future by eliminating the game.

Doesn't activate it's last effect ( if it destroys a monster destroy all of the face up opponent's monsters .

Did you have Malefic Territory on the field? You wouldn't be able to use Truth Dragon's last effect as it would be negated during the Battle Phase.
