Cannot be Special Summoned. You can pay half your LP; destroy as many cards on the field as possible (other than this card), and if you do, banish them. This card gains 300 ATK for each card destroyed this way. Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card was Normal or Flip Summoned this turn: Send it to the Graveyard.

Pros

Clears the entire field, possibly turning the duel around when going against difficult enemy.

Cons

Low attack when not a lot of cards on the field.
Leaves you open after your attack.

Tips, related cards, skills

Paying the Life Points will enable draw skills like “Draw Sense” or “Destiny Draw” for your next turn.
Recommended to use when your opponent’s LP is low enough to be killed from the attack.
Cost Down to reduce the amount of sacrifice needed for tribute which can be good to increase attack if you have more than 1 monsters.
Gandora can be tribute set on the field and changed to face up defense position using Desert Sunlight which will not be considered as normal, flip or special summoned so it will not be destroyed in the end phase of that turn.

This monster caused me to misplay hard twice when I was using a Mako deck as it came completely out of nowhere in one duel.

One of the misplays was I thought Umi was still on the field. You have to check the entire field before doing an action as we tend to forget the smallest things.

If D.D. Survivor is banished with Gandoras effect, at the end of the turn when Gandora destroys itself, D.D. Survivor comes back to field due to his effect.

Someone just special summoned this card with Mausoleum of the Emperor and it kept clearing the entire field on each turn. Wtf? Surely this must be a bug since the description clearly states it ‘cannot be special summoned’.

It was normal summoned by mausoleum.

I believe it is a normal summon with mausoleum, however I don’t understand how it stays on the field because it should be destroyed at the end phase. I’ve been screwed many times with it. My favorite rebuttal to it is to use mega morph. It just destroyed everything but can’t attack. I was able to cause a deck out win because he kept destroying everything but was unable to attack

If he used yugi muto then he probably activated a skill called Access denied which blocks all effects of monster effects when his life points are 1000 or below....
I use that kind of a deck myself.

So I faced Yugi Mutou in plat, then he summon Gandora and activy the effect and gain 1600 or 1800. In my hand only have swift gaia fierce knight. It attacked me directly. Then my turn i draw enemy controller, I set it so in normal situation I can summon swift gaia, but i cant. So is bug or other effect of Gandora?

Confirmed Access Denied skill since it does not allow you to Normal/Special summon Effect monsters nor use their effects. Your Swift Gaia is effect monster so, yep.

Yugi muto uses the skill access denied which states that neither player cant summon an effect monster and effects of effect monsters are blocked, for one turn.
Including effects of effect monsters that activate in the hand.

No, BOXer's counters get removed if he would happen to get "destroyed" and gandora destroys the monsters first then banishes them.

Trying to make it work but usually the other guy instant kills gandora or some bull like econ happens. Fun deck when you are able to set off gandora but usually I say meh this deck is missing something some kind of gandora champions vigilance.

I was playing XYZ deck and has an union monster equipped to my XY dragon cannon. Thought that would be a field wipe but surprisingly, my XY dragon cannon remained on the field. The other fuy just rage quit lol

Guess he didn't know Gandora can nuke as often as Gandora wants.

Currently 2 skills succeed utilizing this: Red-Eyes w/ Evolve, and Access Denied. As one who has tested the Red Eyes Evolve deck, but haven't had the Access Denied skill drop yet, I can highly recommend this card. 2 Copies in the Evolve variant is best, because Evolve is evil and only works from the deck.

Here it is. Critical weaknesses: Some cards, like the Red Stone, can be bricky. In fact, this deck can brick bad. It also has very limited protection. It will be less bricky once I get 1-2 more Insights, which I will replace Behemoths with. The 2nd Gandora is a must, because Evolve only summons from Deck. That said, Gandora in the hand is a bad thing. Feel free to experiment.
