Summon Breaker | Field Spell |
Secrets of the Ancients [N]
During Main Phase 1, if the turn player successfully conducts their third Summon of a monster(s) this turn: It becomes the End Phase. |
Effective against a lot of different meta decks since synchros and XYZ are common, and you can search for this easily through Ancient Fairy Dragon.
Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier | WATER Dragon ★11 ATK 2700 / DEF 2000 |
Stars of Synchro [UR] | |
1 Tuner + 2+ non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can banish up to 3 cards your opponent controls. If this Synchro Summoned card in its owner's control is destroyed by an opponent's card: You can Special Summon 1 "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" from your Extra Deck or GY, its ATK becomes 3300, then halve the ATK of any face-up monsters your opponent currently controls, also negate their effects. You can only use this effect of "Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier" once per turn. |
Can be Synchro Summoned by using 2 Level 4 Blackwing Monsters (Zephyros + Bora/Kris) with Level 3 Gale Tuner. Banish up to 3 cards your opponent's control (keep in mind that this is an Untargeted Effect) which can helps you to clear their board and OTK them.
Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier | WATER Dragon ★9 ATK 2700 / DEF 2000 |
Starter/Special Set Bundle Sale [UR]
1 Tuner + 2 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can banish up to 1 card each from your opponent's hand, field, and Graveyard. (The card in the hand is chosen at random.) |
Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier's ability to banish up to one card each from the opponent's hand, field, and graveyard when Synchro Summoned can give you a significant advantage in the game. In addition, Blackwings can easily meet the Synchro Summoning requirements for Trishula with their various Tuner and non-Tuner monsters.
Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon | FIRE Dragon ★7 ATK 2500 / DEF 2000 |
Force of Infinity [UR] | |
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 card in your Pendulum Zone; Special Summon it, also this card cannot attack for the rest of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon" once per turn. Monsters in your opponent's possession cannot activate their effects during the Battle Phase. |
Mainly to disable/prevent monster effects during your battle phase, which can prevent commonly used handtraps that often stalls the duel.
Blackwing Armor Master | DARK Winged Beast ★7 ATK 2500 / DEF 1500 |
The King of Vermillion [UR]
1 "Blackwing" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Cannot be destroyed by battle, and you take no battle damage from attacks involving this card. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked a monster: You can place 1 Wedge Counter on that monster (max. 1). You can remove all Wedge Counters from your opponent's monsters; the ATK and DEF of those monsters that had Wedge Counters become 0 until the end of this turn. |
Can serve as a decent blocker if your opponent has no card removal effects, or to deal with high DEF monsters.
Black Rose Dragon | FIRE Dragon ★7 ATK 2400 / DEF 1800 |
Blazing Rose [UR] | |
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can destroy all cards on the field. Once per turn: You can banish 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard, then target 1 Defense Position monster your opponent controls; change that target to face-up Attack Position, and if you do, its ATK becomes 0 until the end of this turn. |
Serves as a board clearer, or to simply force your opponent to activate their back row. This can be a close-ended play in certain situations since you won't have any monster on your field as well. But if you go into Black Rose by using special summoned monsters only, then this can be pretty good.
You can special summon Zephyr by returning your Black Whirlwind to save it from destruction. Then special summon Gale to go into Blackrose without using your normal summon at all.
Star Eater | LIGHT Dragon ★11 ATK 3200 / DEF 2800 |
Valhalla Calling [SR] | |
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card's Synchro Summon cannot be negated. When Synchro Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated. If this card attacks, it is unaffected by other card effects until the end of the Damage Step. |
High base ATK so its ATK won't be lowered if it's negated, unlike Chidori. Unaffected by other cards when it attacks also lets you attack more safely if you think your opponent has battle traps like Drowning Mirror Force.
Assault Blackwing - Onimaru the Divine Thunder | DARK Winged Beast ★12 ATK 3000 / DEF 2000 |
Aerial Assault [R] | |
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters If this card is Synchro Summoned using a "Blackwing" monster as Material, it is treated as a Tuner while face-up on the field. Cannot be destroyed by card effects. You can target 1 "Blackwing" monster in your Graveyard; this card's Level becomes the same as that monster's. You can only use this effect of "Assault Blackwing - Onimaru the Divine Thunder" once per Duel. If this card that was Synchro Summoned using only Synchro Monsters attacks, this card gains 3000 ATK during the Damage Step only. |
Can't be destroyed by card effects and is a 6000 ATK monster if you summoned it properly using 2 synchro monsters. Useful for OTK and just generally a difficult monster for your opponent to deal with.
It's not untargetable so there are still various forms of removal, making this not a good turn 1 play.
Samurai Destroyer | EARTH Machine ★7 ATK 2600 / DEF 1400 |
Dark Dimension [R] | |
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters If this card battles an opponent's monster, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step, also that opponent's monster has its effects negated during the Battle Phase only. If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can target 1 Machine monster in your GY; Special Summon it. |
This is used to deal with certain monsters with effects when in battle or destroyed. Cards like any of the Yubel related ones, Maiden with Eyes of Blue, or any monster that can activate when destroyed will not activate when Samurai Destroyed attacks.
Samurai Destroyer's effect that prevents your opponent from activating a card during battle is also amazing since it prevents powerful spell/traps and some hand traps like Sphere Kuriboh, or Battlin Boxer Veil. Just keep in mind that this effect will only activate when Samurai Destroyer attacks a monster, not when it's direct attacking.
Assault Blackwing - Sohaya the Rain Storm | DARK Winged Beast ★5 ATK 1500 / DEF 2000 |
Aerial Assault [N] | |
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters If this card is Synchro Summoned using a "Blackwing" monster as Material, it is treated as a Tuner while face-up on the field. You can only use each of these effects of "Assault Blackwing - Sohaya the Rain Storm" once per turn. ● When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can target 1 "Assault Blackwing" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. ● During your Main Phase, if this card is in the Graveyard because it was sent there this turn: You can banish 1 other "Assault Blackwing - Sohaya the Rain Storm" from your Graveyard; Special Summon this card. |
This can be worth bringing if you intend to play this with Onimaru. But since there is only 1 Oroshi in the deck, this will end up making you unable to synchro with Simoon.
It can serve as a comeback card since you can revive Raikiri for more destruction, and then synchro Sohaya with Raikiri to go into Onimaru.
Voloferniges, the Darkest Dragon Doomrider | DARK Dragon ★7 ATK 2500 / DEF 2100 |
Cross Dimension [SR] | |
2 Level 7 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 2 materials from this card, then target 1 face-up card on the field; destroy it, and if you destroyed a monster, you can make 1 face-up monster you control gain ATK equal to the destroyed monster's original Level/Rank x 300 until the end of the next turn. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. This is a Quick Effect if this card has a Dragon monster as material, but cannot be activated in the Damage Step. |
Face-Up Card Destruction including backrow is pretty decent effect but sadly it cannot activated during Damage Step. When you destroyed a monster, it will allows you boost up ATK of 1 monster you control until the end of the next turn.
Number 70: Malevolent Sin | DARK Insect ★4 ATK 2400 / DEF 1200 |
Photons of Galaxy [SR] | |
2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3. |
One of the better rank 4 XYZs currently available in the game. If you find yourself in a position where you can't synchro, simply summon another level 4 to go into Malevolent Sin.
It has a pretty good effect of temporary monster removal that can be used to secure games or to remove enemy XYZ materials.
Noted By Slaven:
Deck works very well in the current meta, you can streak up even 10+ wins if u get lucky. It's biggest matchup problem is probably harpies cause triggerin black whirlwind will activate slash harpies effect. I recommend using fiendish chain or book of moon or chalice to deal with them. Necrovalley can shut most decks down, use Roach on first turn to stop synchro decks like Blue Eyes or TG. Dark End is here to deal with Diva just like Sin. You can also use 3rd Gale if u want instead of Pinaki but sometimes that search can come in clutch. Overall very easy to master.
