Tips

Attribute Change

DNA Transplant changes all monsters on the field to DARK attribute so that Palladium Oracle Mahad can double his attack no matter what he battles. Aside from DNA Transplant there are also some other less efficient attribute changing effects such as Scroll of Bewitchment and the Genex Ally cards.

It's a "When....You Can" effect, so the draw has to be the last thing to happen.

Solar Recharge has milling effect happening after the draw, so Mahad's effect misses the timing.

He was a miserable man whose only purpose was to teach: all deep pocketed boys are good guys and we should mourn their deaths no matter what, even the horrible ones.
So wrong in many ways.

It's a very powerful card, but Konami has been very sneaky, because up till now I have about 80% chance I have Mahad in my opening hand (in a deck with only 1 copy and 30 cards). It is still okay to tribute summon it, but its a shame that they made it this way :(

I once kept track of the AI dueling itself against the deck with Time Wizard
Should be 50/50 w/l right? I tracked 100 coin flips. The AI "won" 84 of them. Instead of 50% to happen, it seems to be about 85%. The game absolutely cheats this way all the time, and it use to do it worse then it does now.

I attacked a dark slash dragon and his attack didn’t double. Does it only work when he’s special summoned?

Because your opponent used money to obtain the Slash dragon, giving him a higher activation priority than your F2P Mahad.

If you get a new Mahad using your money instead of F2P means you won't have this problem anymore.

Yes, that's true. You always have to check if the hidden skill "Screw the rules, I have money!" is activated. If it is activated, you have no chance to win.

it depends, going 3 times on the same box can give you a fully self-sufficient deck as opposed to spreading out through a bunch of boxes with incomplete archtypes

In that case you will never get your hand on a Wall of D, Drowning, Canadia, and other staple cards.

F2P players would get a greater variety of generic supports if they buy each pack once. When the meta changes they will be able to use the appropriate one in the same deck.
Buying the same box x3 won't give you a complete deck either. For instance Purgatrio and invoker are from different boxes.

I have literally splashed 1 tenth of my gems on that box and the only good cards I got were a few Magician Girls. Still waiting for Mahad.

Probably because it was either drawn in the start on your hand or drawn using a skill. Other than that... I have no idea!

I really like him in a magical girl deck with quintet magician. If he is in my opener chocolate gets rid of him for use later and a potentially better card.
