Pros

  • Protects Dragon-type monsters from destruction effects.
  • Revives Normal monsters.
  • Good stats.

Cons

  • High leveled Synchro monster making it more costly to summon.
  • Revival effect activates during the standby phase meaning it cannot be used immediately.

Tips

  • The Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon's effect is activated when he is summoned in any way. This means that aside from Synchro summoning you can also activate the protection effect by reviving Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon.

Synchro Summon

Use this card in a Blue-Eyes deck where it can easily be Synchro summoned and maximize it's effect. The "Eyes of Blue" Archetype consists of level 1 Tuner monsters you can use alongside Blue-Eyes White Dragon to Synchro summon into Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon. You can also use The White Stone of Legend as a Tuner and search out a Blue-Eyes white Dragon when it is sent to the graveyard.

Gemini monsters

Gemini monsters are treated as Normal monsters while in the graveyard so you can revive them with Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon's effect. Since they were special summoned you can normal summon them again to gain their effects.

It sayas Protects Dragon-type monsters from destruction effects. Nevertheless, why crystal raigeki can destroy this monster after special summoned to the field? Help!
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
it only lasts for 2 turns
<< Anonymous
DaSwifta Reply
Only lasts until the end of your opponents turn, so they can still destroy you after that unless you summon another one.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Most likely because they chained Crystal Raigeki to your Azure Eyes effect. Because Crystal Raigeki activated in response to your effect Crystal Raigeki goes first and destroys it before the protection effect happens.

Does needle ceiling work? I'm quite confused because it says dragon type monsters can't be destroyed by card effects (until next turn)
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
No Needle Ceiling will not work as it says "Dragon-Type monsters you currently control cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects until the end of the next turn." So stuff like Super Rush Headlong (although non targeting) won't work. If you are going to use Needle Ceiling you need to wait the turn after they summoned it. What you can use is stuff like Wall of Disruption
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
or Mirror Wall as they are non targeting and non destruction.

Alternatively if for any reason they Synchro summon use Offerings to the doomed or Bad Aim or Needle Ceiling (doubtful as it drops the field count) to chain and pop it as it's effect applies last in the chain meaning you can destroy it right there before it's protection effect

Actually not Bad Aim. I just used it when they chained it to the egg tuner monster that brings BE to their hand and popped their monster right there.

can this card 🔥 yubel's forms/ not be destroyed by their effects?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
I think it wont be destroyed in the next turn after its summon. But against yubel it'd be a lot better to bring stardust to field. You can use your cosmo brain as synchro material, you'll always have it in your starting hand if you are playing 'a trick up the sleeve'.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Hmmmmmm... I don't think so.... Yubel's effect isn't exactly a targeting effect. It pops the monsters in Incarnate and Ultimate Nightmare is worse because it is via attack.

You can however us Prime Material Dragon to attack the Tubel's and destroy them with the cost of a hand card. I know you can destroy Nightmare with Prime Material Dragon and gain the battle Damage instead.

I know this because I dueled lv 60 Yubel the last time they appeared and noticed they wouldn't attack my prime. My life points were set so I decided to attack it and BAM! Both life point boost and destroyed by discarding one card.

However Stardust is WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY BETTER!!! Because it negates both Incarnate and Nightmare at no cost to your hand.

Plus it special Summons itself again in the grave each time so you will be safe. However be wary of Cerulean Nephthys ritual as that thing has higher attack than Stardust and it can destroy it by battle instead

key support in blue eyes. until maiden ofc

DaSwifta Reply
Actually Maiden only serves to boost this cards viability, as it's a level 1 Tuner that combos with Protector and Blue-Eyes White Dragon. And when they release Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, oh boy will this card ever see play. Spirit Dragon can directly combo into this card, being able to tribute itself to summon Azure-Eyes straight from your Extra Deck during your opponents turn without any drawbacks.

Blue-Eyes and White Stone of Legend is the ideal combo for that.

Any Normal Dragon + Any Tuner Monster whose total levels add up to 9. So for example, the otpimal way to summon it would be to have Blue-Eyes White Dragon + any level 1 Tuner, like White Stone of Legend or one of the Eyes of Blue Tuners monsters, but you can also summon it with for example, Red-Eyes B. Dragon + any level 2 tuner, like Galaxy Serpent.

God, I love this card. Just look at that Artwork! It's so far the only really reliable Synchro deck in the game, with the only contestors being X-Sabers or Power Tool Dragon, but who even plays those? Anyway this card is glorious, and it does wonders in my Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon Deck, being able to bring back my Blue-Eyes from the grave after being used for discard effects to search out Polymerization and such, and it also works with Dragon Spirit of White since it's treated as a normal monster in the grave. If only the protection effect was permanent.

This card is the only reliable first-turn move in the entire game

DaSwifta Reply
That is so far from the truth, considering Masked HEROes exist, aswell as Amazonnes (though they were sent to the shadow realm by the banlist).

Yes it does! I was scare when my opponent pulled that card but it did nothing.
blue eyes pervert ho
"until the next turn" means the opponent's turn right? And it will lose it's effect when it's our turn again?
<< Anonymous(blue eyes pervert ho)
Anonymous Reply
Until the end of the next turn means exactly what it sounds like. Until the end of the turn following the turn the effect was activated. (Which will usually be the opponent's turn, yeah.) It could end on your own turn if you Summon it in the opponent's turn with a card like Dragon's Rebirth, though.
