"Gladiator Beast Laquari" + 2 "Gladiator Beast" monsters Must first be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by shuffling the above cards you control into the Deck. (You do not use "Polymerization".) During either player's turn, when a Spell/Trap Card is activated: You can discard 1 card; negate the activation and destroy it. This card must be face-up on the field to activate and to resolve this effect.
Secutor is the fastest way to bring this monster out. When Secutor is brought out by the effect of another Gladiator Beast and your opponent attacks into it, you can special summon 2 Gladiator Beasts from your deck. You just need to Normal summon another Gladiator Beast during your next standby phase, you can Special summon Heraklinos using 2 Gladiator Beasts and 1 Gladiator Beast Laquari. Secutor must remain on the field after opponent’s attack to activate its effect.
Before you get your strong Gladiator Beasts out, you can use these Gladiator Beasts repeatedly to destroy your opponent’s face-up monsters or spell/traps, weakening them considerably and provide a smoother path for your strong Gladiator Beasts to wipe them out.
This field spell is specifically tailored for Gladiator Beasts, and it increases their ATK and DEF by 100 for every Special summon counters this card has. The counter increases for every Special summon conducted by either players.
Use this to protect Heraklinos should it attacks into an effect monster that has the effect of destroying the monster that destroys it. You can also use this to protect Secutor in order to successfully activate its effect.
Negates activation of trap card and destroys it, but you need to return 1 Gladiator Beast monster from your hand to your deck as cost. This is useful to prevent Floodgate Trap Hole that can jeopardize your Gladiator Beasts’ effects.
Use this cards to increase your draw power. This is particularly useful for Heraklinos as you require cards in your hand to discard in order to use its effect. At the same time, shuffle unwanted Gladiator Beasts back to your deck because their Special summon is from your deck.
Heraklinos is one of the most powerful Gladiator Beast you can use, as it can destroy any Spell/Trap cards your opponent tries to activate, by discarding cards. However it is still vulnerable to Sphere Kuriboh’s effect during its attack.
This also means it is very hard for cards like Mirror Wall or Wall of Disruption to affect - Heraklinos. However if you attack with another monster from your field, your opponent can still trigger cards like Wall of Disruption. If you are unable to negate that due to no cards in your hand, simply return Heraklinos to your Extra deck and summon it again during your next turn to regain its full Attack power. Always remember Gladiator Beasts unique “returning to deck” effect is a way to play around Wall of Disruption and exhaust your opponent’s protection resources.
Be very careful with your Gladiator Beast monsters because if your opponent uses Floodgate Trap Hole and flips your monsters face-down upon summoning, your monsters will not be able to use their effect and therefore cannot return to your deck. Use Parry as an option to negate this card.
If your Gladiator Beast has been flipped face-down by opponent’s Floodgate Trap Hole, you can use Contact Fusion to Special Summon stronger Gladiator Beasts and return the face-down Gladiator Beast back to your deck.
Have some counter measures ready for Enemy Controller tribute take plays because that is the current meta and efficient way of dealing with stronger opposing monsters. Heraklinos can only be taken during your opponent’s Main phase.
Beatdown! Boosts the ATK of face-up attack position monsters you control by 300 per level 5 or more monsters you control. You can only use the skill once per turn.
This card is overrated. Fusions are not that good in duel links and this card is no exception. It will face the same problems as any fusion deck. If you can summon it fast - it will be good. Otherwise not so great.
Difficult to summon, yes. But no need of Polymerization. You can build a GB deck, add this card to your Extra deck for no cost, and summon it when you can. A GB deck is versatile enough to win without summoning Heraklinos. It's just a bonus.
Most people don't understand the use of these Fusion monsters extend to help you play around Floodgate Trap Hole. If your GB monster was Floodgated for whatever reason, simply return it to your deck and Special Summon one of Heraklinos/Nerokius/Edensarri, your Floodgate in your face.
I don’t think you understand how gladiators work lol. This is just a bonus to the deck as are the other fusion glad beasts. They’re more for giving the last blow after depleting your opponent of their resources with the other gladiator beasts.
Yes, because Floodgate activate after you succeed summoning it. But for cards like Champion's Vigilance and Solemn Scolding that prevents you from summoning it, you CANT negate the effect because in this case Heraklinos doesnt hit the field yet
i think what he meant is by not necessary having 3 monster in the field to summon it out. especially since the power GB lies on shuffling itself back into the deck and summoning another GB and that itself counts as 1, and they just need 2 more shuffles after that
