Tips, Related Cards, Rulings

Speed summon

Secutor is the fastest way to bring this monster out. When Secutor is brought out by the effect of another Gladiator Beast and your opponent attacks into it, you can special summon 2 Gladiator Beasts from your deck. You just need to Normal summon another Gladiator Beast during your next standby phase, you can Special summon Heraklinos using 2 Gladiator Beasts and 1 Gladiator Beast Laquari. Secutor must remain on the field after opponent’s attack to activate its effect.

Utility Gladiator Beasts

Before you get your strong Gladiator Beasts out, you can use these Gladiator Beasts repeatedly to destroy your opponent’s face-up monsters or spell/traps, weakening them considerably and provide a smoother path for your strong Gladiator Beasts to wipe them out.

Archetype support

This field spell is specifically tailored for Gladiator Beasts, and it increases their ATK and DEF by 100 for every Special summon counters this card has. The counter increases for every Special summon conducted by either players.

Use this to protect Heraklinos should it attacks into an effect monster that has the effect of destroying the monster that destroys it. You can also use this to protect Secutor in order to successfully activate its effect.

Grants the Gladiator Beast the ability to destroy 1 Spell/Trap during End Phase after it attacks. This card will return directly to your hand if the equipped Gladiator Beast is returned to your deck.

Negates activation of trap card and destroys it, but you need to return 1 Gladiator Beast monster from your hand to your deck as cost. This is useful to prevent Floodgate Trap Hole that can jeopardize your Gladiator Beasts’ effects.

Use this cards to increase your draw power. This is particularly useful for Heraklinos as you require cards in your hand to discard in order to use its effect. At the same time, shuffle unwanted Gladiator Beasts back to your deck because their Special summon is from your deck.

  • Heraklinos is one of the most powerful Gladiator Beast you can use, as it can destroy any Spell/Trap cards your opponent tries to activate, by discarding cards. However it is still vulnerable to Sphere Kuriboh’s effect during its attack.
  • This also means it is very hard for cards like Mirror Wall or Wall of Disruption to affect -
Heraklinos. However if you attack with another monster from your field, your opponent can still trigger cards like Wall of Disruption. If you are unable to negate that due to no cards in your hand, simply return Heraklinos to your Extra deck and summon it again during your next turn to regain its full Attack power. Always remember Gladiator Beasts unique “returning to deck” effect is a way to play around Wall of Disruption and exhaust your opponent’s protection resources.
  • Be very careful with your Gladiator Beast monsters because if your opponent uses Floodgate Trap Hole and flips your monsters face-down upon summoning, your monsters will not be able to use their effect and therefore cannot return to your deck. Use Parry as an option to negate this card.
  • If your Gladiator Beast has been flipped face-down by opponent’s Floodgate Trap Hole, you can use Contact Fusion to Special Summon stronger Gladiator Beasts and return the face-down Gladiator Beast back to your deck.
  • Have some counter measures ready for Enemy Controller tribute take plays because that is the current meta and efficient way of dealing with stronger opposing monsters. Heraklinos can only be taken during your opponent’s Main phase.

Should be Rank A, but yes, it's a bit difficult to summon
Why this card wasn't able to negate a trap jammer?

Because, shockingly, Gladiator Beast Heraklinos isn't a Counter Trap Card.
Anyone who knows how amazing GBs were when they first came out, know that this card is a huge threat and will shake up the meta considerably.

not really, it's hard to summon and with the current outlook it will be hard to get three beasts out

Gb only became competitive when Darios and Gyzarus came out

lol it is already competitive now
This card is overrated. Fusions are not that good in duel links and this card is no exception. It will face the same problems as any fusion deck. If you can summon it fast - it will be good. Otherwise not so great.

Difficult to summon, yes. But no need of Polymerization. You can build a GB deck, add this card to your Extra deck for no cost, and summon it when you can. A GB deck is versatile enough to win without summoning Heraklinos. It's just a bonus.

Most people don't understand the use of these Fusion monsters extend to help you play around Floodgate Trap Hole. If your GB monster was Floodgated for whatever reason, simply return it to your deck and Special Summon one of Heraklinos/Nerokius/Edensarri, 🔥 your Floodgate in your face.

I don’t think you understand how gladiators work lol. This is just a bonus to the deck as are the other fusion glad beasts. They’re more for giving the last blow after depleting your opponent of their resources with the other gladiator beasts.

Heraklinos is just an option if your gb monsters get floodgated or massivemorphed in order to prevent being locked
If i summon heraklinos and my opponent uses floodgate, if have cards in my hand can i negate it?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yes, because Floodgate activate after you succeed summoning it. But for cards like Champion's Vigilance and Solemn Scolding that prevents you from summoning it, you CANT negate the effect because in this case Heraklinos doesnt hit the field yet

tnx :D

No, pls don't believe anon above, he reversed it.
I feel like he's grabbing some random trash left by the other Gladiator Beasts and sticking those trash onto his body...
By the way, if you have a cards in your hand, heraklinos surely can negate floodgate at the same time when you special summon this card.

And you must be drunk gameA because hera can't back to extra deck after he attack or being attacked..

Agree, beside nerukios is more OP then this cards since he can shut down every effect in battle phase and he can't be destroyed by battle
over hundred packs and I never got the only UR I wanted

Lol I got him on my third pack
<< Anonymous

50 packs in i got no urs lol
Same special summon gate guardian
he look like The Predator
I mean it's good if you have discard fodder but you have to control 3 monsters to get him out
<< Anonymous

i think what he meant is by not necessary having 3 monster in the field to summon it out. especially since the power GB lies on shuffling itself back into the deck and summoning another GB and that itself counts as 1, and they just need 2 more shuffles after that
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Bottomline is, Gladiator Beast Laquari + 2 other GB monsters must be on your field to Special summon Heraklinos, by shuffling all 3 of them to the deck.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Holy 🔥, are you stupid? You can't summon Heraklinos after shuffling 3 times, you need to control 3 GBs (Laquari one of them) and shuffle them all at once. 🔥ing noobs.
<< Anonymous
Her derr Reply
"Clearly a noob" "I dont know wtf im talking about!"
Does it require us to have 3 GB monsters on the field or we can shuffle them from hand?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Tag/Contact Fusion: Requires all materials on the field. But for Gladiators, it won't matter if they are face-up or face-down.

Thanks for the explanation.
