This page notes details of Dark Nephthys (DARK/Winged Beast/Effect Monster) : decks, tips, effect and rulings. Learn and enjoy playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links!
If you have 3 or more DARK monsters in your Graveyard and this card in your hand: You can banish 2 of them from your Graveyard; send this card from your hand to the Graveyard. During your next Standby Phase after this card was sent to the Graveyard by this effect: Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned: Target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy that target.
Destroys 1 Spell/Trap card on the field when being Special Summoned correctly.
Cons
Significantly weaker effect compared to its counterpart, Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys.
Requires having at least 3 DARK monsters in the graveyard, and banishing 2 DARK monsters as a cost, to send this card to the Graveyard for a Special Summon next Standby phase, which is considerably slow.
Tips
This card’s trade-off is not that good, between the effort required to Special Summon it, and the effect it offers is only to destroy 1 Spell/Trap card. This produces a vast gap between this card with its counterpart Sacred Phoenix of Nepthys, which can destroy all Spell/Cards on the field when it was Special Summoned from the Graveyard.
Dark Monster Support
Dark Nephthys will fit in best in a DARK Fiend-type deck, as you can also choose to Special Summon Dark Necrofear when Dark Nephthys is not available. Doomsday Horror would gain massive amounts of ATK and DEF based on the amount of your banished DARK monsters. Magical Merchant functions to mill your deck by sending all the DARK monsters into the Graveyard until it fetches 1 Spell/Trap card from your deck. Veil of Darkness allows you to continuously draw and discard DARK monsters in 1 turn.
