If a face-up DARK Machine monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, during the Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can toss a coin 3 times; destroy face-up monsters on the field, up to the number of Heads, then if the result is 3 heads, draw 1 card. This card cannot attack the turn this effect is activated. If this card is sent to the GY: You can add 1 Level 7 or lower monster that has a coin tossing effect, from your Deck to your hand.

Inherent Special Summoning effect.
Good stats.
Can destroy multiple opponent monsters.
Searches deck for the monster when he is sent to the graveyard.

Cons

Cannot attack the turn it activates removal effect.
Can only destroy face-up monsters.
Coin toss effects are inconsistent.

Tips

DARK Machine is a fairly common attribute-type combination. Some archetypes with this combination include Ally of Justice, Genex Ally, and Jinzo.

Cyberdark

Cyberdark monsters are almost all DARK Machine-type monsters so you won’t have any trouble summoning Desperado Barrel Dragon. Desperado Barrel Dragon also offers monster removal and high base stats that none of the Cyberdark monsters have. Use Cyberdark Cannon to search for Machine-Type Cyberdark monsters.

Barrel Dragon

Two of Desperado Barrel Dragon’s effects functions well with other barrel dragons. Because Barrel Dragons are DARK Machine-types they can fulfill Desperado Barrel Dragon’s Special Summoning condition. Also, they all have coin flip effects making them searchable by Desperado Barrel Dragon.

Second Coin Toss lets you retry your coin toss to get a better result. Proton Blast gives you additional effects based on the number of heads. Additionally Proton Blast can be banished from your graveyard to make all of Desperado Barrel Dragon’s tosses heads.

Should have 2 coins, not 3, and only be usable during your own turn.

Users who don't spend money on the game don't want to fill their decks with acid rain out of fear of this BS card.

Everyone agrees that Konami has made Duel Links as a quality. They will still have many die-hard fans spending money every month without random people advertising this game. But this random people will always exist and keep doing their stuffs. Not for Konami but for their own benefit, because people spending money is their discord's target

Be careful about spending money, if only you don’t want to buy a new EX deck every month.
(of course this can be compared with a paid subscription but nonetheless ..)

It’s strong only because meta is very favorable for this card now.

Most decks have no room for traps and pure trap based decks suck to Six sams.

This may change at any time.

Honestly, Desperado will probably remain powerful for quite a while yet. I expect we'll get a non-destruction removal card soon (think like Karma Cut, Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, Compulsory Evacuation Device, something like that), which will help, but won't drop it out of top tier.

The text doesn't say "destroy OPPONENT face-up monsters on the field" ... so can you destroy your monsters too? Up to the number of heads? (for ex. If i have 2 monsters and my opponent have only 1 monster and the result is 3 heads...can i destroy the opponent monster AND my 2 monsters?)

Like the bro said below, this card will not be limited because they made it OP on purpose,to sell tons of decks. I have used enemy controller to take my opponents barrel dragon 3 times now and every time I've used it's effect the coin toss has come up all tails. Is this a bug in the game or am I just super unlucky? I planned to use it's ability to destroy itself, but then got no heads...

You're somewhat right. A lot of people just suck in deck building and rely on copied decks. So when a new meta deck comes out many of these people are crying out in fear and are demanding a ban or help because they refuse to try to counter it on their own. So like you said most will join the meta while others will complain about it till the next big thing comes.

Triamids have a good match up because they can be immune to destruction and have an Armades effect with Kingolem.

Subterrors do wellif the opponent doesn't draw cosmic or treacherous.

Crystons can banish with the Quan.

Six Sams, Yubel, and Ancient Gears in general just don't care.
