If a face-up DARK Machine monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, during the Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can toss a coin 3 times; destroy face-up monsters on the field, up to the number of Heads, then if the result is 3 heads, draw 1 card. This card cannot attack the turn this effect is activated. If this card is sent to the GY: You can add 1 Level 7 or lower monster that has a coin tossing effect, from your Deck to your hand.

  • Inherent Special Summoning effect.
  • Good stats.
  • Can destroy multiple opponent monsters.
  • Searches deck for the monster when he is sent to the graveyard.

Cons

  • Cannot attack the turn it activates removal effect.
  • Can only destroy face-up monsters.
  • Coin toss effects are inconsistent.

Tips

  • DARK Machine is a fairly common attribute-type combination. Some archetypes with this combination include Ally of Justice, Genex Ally, and Jinzo.

Cyberdark

Cyberdark monsters are almost all DARK Machine-type monsters so you won’t have any trouble summoning Desperado Barrel Dragon. Desperado Barrel Dragon also offers monster removal and high base stats that none of the Cyberdark monsters have. Use Cyberdark Cannon to search for Machine-Type Cyberdark monsters.

Barrel Dragon

Two of Desperado Barrel Dragon’s effects functions well with other barrel dragons. Because Barrel Dragons are DARK Machine-types they can fulfill Desperado Barrel Dragon’s Special Summoning condition. Also, they all have coin flip effects making them searchable by Desperado Barrel Dragon.

Spellbooks actually came back into the meta thanks to Lumis/Umbra's Light and Dark skill, and because of AG/Red-Eyes/Triamid. They get KoG pretty easily now.

Guys, I'm curious if the number of Heads exceeds the number of monsters of the opponent on the field, will Barrel dragon self-destruct or not?

Because some of my opponents destroyed their own monsters and some didn’t

After destroying opponent cards, when you don't want to destroy another card, simply push the arrow at the bottom of the screen. Perhaps, your opponent played too fast and don't see the arrow...

Why is the desperado barrel so inconsistent when a dark machin is destroyed? I have the blast spider and sometimes when I use the affect and blow it up, it works and I can summon the barrel from my hand. Other times it doesn’t work. What’s the deal

I’m assuming you’re useing the neos variant? If so using Neos Fusion 1rst will prevent you from special summoning desperado. If you’re not using now then idk tell me your deck and I might be able to help you

Because those cards are only R, and can be obtained for free easily. Desperado is a UR from a deck you have to pay in order to get multiple copies of. And you don't wanna screw over paying costumers, now do you?
