Card Trooper | EARTH Machine ★3 ATK 400 / DEF 400 |
Jaden Yuki [SR] | |
Once per turn: You can choose a number from 1 to 3, then send that many cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard; this card gains 500 ATK for each card sent to the Graveyard this way, until the end of this turn. If this card you control is destroyed and sent to your Graveyard: Draw 1 card. |
Card Trooper is a great addition to the deck for multiple reasons. The mill effect gives you some easy graveyard setup. Being a level-3 Machine gives Card Trooper a ton of synergy with other cards in this deck; specifically with the level of Synchros you make and allowing you to Special Summon Wheeleder. The floating effect compensates losing Card Trooper.
T.G. Warwolf | DARK Beast-Warrior ★3 ATK 1200 / DEF 0 |
Antinomic Theory [SR] | |
When a Level 4 or lower monster(s) is Special Summoned (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card from your hand. During the End Phase, if this card is in the Graveyard because it was destroyed on the field and sent there this turn: You can add 1 "T.G." monster from your Deck to your hand, except "T.G. Warwolf". |
Warwolf synergizes great with the rest of this Deck because of its Level and inherent Special Summoning effect. The idea is to Normal Summon a Level-3 Tuner then Special Summon Wheeleder then Special Summon Warwolf, and using all three in making Quariongandrax.
Creature Seizure | Normal Spell |
Ranked Rewards [SR] | |
Each player gives their opponent control of 1 of their monsters (controller's choice). You must choose a face-up Normal Monster. |
Use this when your opponent controls only one monster onboard, and only if that monster happens to be quite powerful. Give an attack position Rosenix Token to your opponent.
Vermillion Dragon Mech | FIRE Machine ★9 ATK 2700 / DEF 1800 |
Blazing Rose [UR] | |
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Once per turn: You can banish 1 Tuner from your hand, field, or Graveyard, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it. If this Synchro Summoned card is destroyed by card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 of your banished Tuners; add it to your hand. |
Summon Vermillion Dragon Mech by using a Coral Dragon and a level-3 monster as material. It has the most cost effective removal effect and also a floating effect to recover a Tuner.
Black Rose Dragon | FIRE Dragon ★7 ATK 2400 / DEF 1800 |
Blazing Rose [UR] | |
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can destroy all cards on the field. Once per turn: You can banish 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard, then target 1 Defense Position monster your opponent controls; change that target to face-up Attack Position, and if you do, its ATK becomes 0 until the end of this turn. |
Summon Black Rose Dragon and use its effect to break the enemy board and get rid of their entire setup.
Mist Wurm | WIND Insect ★9 ATK 2500 / DEF 1500 |
Tornado of Phantoms [SR]
1 Tuner + 2 or more non-Tuner monsters If this card is Synchro Summoned: Target up to 3 cards your opponent controls; return those targets to the hand. |
Mist Wurm is made with similar materials to Quariongandrax but with only one Tuner. The removal effect is also very similar, removing three enemy cards with Mist Wurm's effect is arguably only slightly weaker than Quariongandrax.
Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier | WATER Dragon ★7 ATK 2500 / DEF 1700 |
Cybernetic Rebellion [SR]
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner WATER monsters Once per turn: You can discard up to 2 cards to the Graveyard to target the same number of cards your opponent controls; destroy them. |
Gungnir is able to destroy more cards than Coral Dragon.
White Aura Dolphin | WATER Fish ★6 ATK 2400 / DEF 1000 |
Cybernetic Rebellion [SR]
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes half its original ATK until the end of this turn. If this card you control is destroyed by an opponent's card (by battle or card effect) and sent to your GY: You can banish 1 other WATER monster from your GY; Special Summon this card, and if you do, it is treated as a Tuner. |
White Aura Dolphin can halve an enemy monster's ATK so you can attack over it. This effect has no cost and can be activated once every turn. White Aura Dolphin also has an inherent revival effect. In a Deck contains alot of WATER monsters such as this, you can effectively revive White Aura Dolphin as much as you want.
Samurai Destroyer | EARTH Machine ★7 ATK 2600 / DEF 1400 |
Dark Dimension [R] | |
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters If this card battles an opponent's monster, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step, also that opponent's monster has its effects negated during the Battle Phase only. If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can target 1 Machine monster in your GY; Special Summon it. |
Summon Samurai Destroyer to attack through a full enemy backrow. The floating effect is lets you revive any Machine monster, even Synchro Machine monsters in your graveyard.
Note by BlueDelta:
While it is a very powerful archetype, it is probably one of the most expensive ones to play and it takes time to learn the combos and most importantly, speed up your plays as much as possible, so you won’t lose to the countdown timer instead of actually getting beaten by your opponent. Invoker is definitely the hardest match-up, due to the inherent danger of Crystrons in the graveyard being banished, who are vital for your plays plus Cocytus is hard to deal with. Caution is advised before jumping into this archetype before considering the circumstances.
This archetype has already faced one nerf, with 2 cards sharing a spot on the semi-limited list, plus it’s not as common as certain other metadecks due to its complexity. I cannot imagine a follow-up nerf coming anytime soon, but take this guess with a grain of salt.
