Crystal Beast

Crystal Beast monsters turn into Continuous Spell cards when they are destroyed while in the monster zone. You can then use them as cost to summon Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder. This gives Crystal Beast decks a more accessible boss monster than Rainbow Dragon.
Crystal Beasts also have support like Crystal Blessing and Crystal Bond to help put Continuous Spell cards on the field and summon Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder.

Fire Fist

Fire Fist decks have lots of Continuous Spells with one-time effects and stay on the field as attack boosts. You can use these to Special Summon Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder while also freeing up your Spell/Trap zone.

Makiu, the Magical Mist

Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder has one of the highest attack stat of any Thunder monster making him a great target for Makiu, the Magical Mist. Essentially letting you destroy all your opponent’s monsters.

Batteryman D

Batteryman D prevents your opponent from attacking other monsters. Together with a defense position Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder you can prevent your opponent from attacking altogether.

Are face up monsters on spell/trap zone considered face up spells? So thats why crystal beasts would work?

not just any monsters tho. crystal beasts specifically state that they are placed as continuous spell cards

Hamon needs Continuous Spells.

Monsters in S/T Zones are usually treated as Equip Spells.

CB works because they specifically stated they treat themselves as Continuous Spells.
I'll be annoyed if Hamon gets Transcendent Crystals nerfed

It's not meta btw and crystal beasts aren't too strong so it won't get nerfed

That nerf is definitely happening since it’s Konami we’re talking about

The META has diversity because:

We have Electromagnets.
We have Six Samurais.
We have Blue-eyes
We have Red-eyes
We have Neos Fusion
We have Koa'ki Meiru
We have Survival's End
We have TRIAMIDS (F2P and can climb in DAY 1)
We have Dark Magician
We have Mermails
We have Subterrors
We have Ancient Gears
We have Crystrons
We have Cyber Dragon Beatdown + King of the Swamp
We have Gem Knights
Can crystal beasts be good in the meta again with hamon?

Not sure if meta, but they can be competitive, just search any video featuring Hamon :))

And yeah, the guy above is right, sadly.
You should try Reddit.

It’s easiest to summon Hamon in Crystal Beasts, but does not make the deck much/any better than it already is

Nah, the deck is better with Hamon than with Rainbow Dragon.
So will flip summons count towards the playmat for Hamon

Hamon is Crystal Beasts new boss monster. A 4000 Atk & Def monster who requires 3 Continuous Spells on the field, deals 1000 burn damage every time he beats a monster and while it defense it protects your other monsters from attacks.
FYI, I tried but field spells do not count to summon this. In case someone was wondering.

That’s because field spells aren’t the same as continuous spells hunny
So will flip summons count towards the playmat for Hamon
