Crystal Beast monsters turn into Continuous Spell cards when they are destroyed while in the monster zone. You can then use them as cost to summon Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder. This gives Crystal Beast decks a more accessible boss monster than Rainbow Dragon.
Crystal Beasts also have support like Crystal Blessing and Crystal Bond to help put Continuous Spell cards on the field and summon Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder.
Fire Fist decks have lots of Continuous Spells with one-time effects and stay on the field as attack boosts. You can use these to Special Summon Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder while also freeing up your Spell/Trap zone.
Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder has one of the highest attack stat of any Thunder monster making him a great target for Makiu, the Magical Mist. Essentially letting you destroy all your opponent’s monsters.
Batteryman D prevents your opponent from attacking other monsters. Together with a defense position Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder you can prevent your opponent from attacking altogether.
