Good thing I had enough to buy 2 more structure decks of this to get 3 copies of each card in the structure deck.

Seems to be an awful lot of you losing to AG so here are some cute tips:

If the opponent plays Geartown, just destroy it before the chain finishes or chain before destroying as it is a "when" and not a "if".

Go to options and switch chain settings to toggle so you can activate things like mirrorwall before they attack at battle step.

If you're playing a deck with seemingly no theme (like original Yugi who had a strategy deck), pack cards like the Obnoxious Celtic Guardian. AG players typically never use AGG so you don't need to worry about getting pierced but do note some players do actually use their AGG's but AGRD does not have such effect as no gadget monsters are released right now (and would be too slow anyway).

The AG deck thrives on trapping you into two mindsets of playing:
1. Keep destroying their face ups (which isn't recommended since they have trigger effects)
or
2. Power through their nonsense.

While option 1 is certainly doable (but unlikely to have enough removals to do this; banishment cards are not yet plentiful), option 2 is definitely easier. To this end, pack some equips or temporary boosters like Back-Up Riders and Mage Power.

Additional Tips for theme decks:

Masked Heroes are in a strange place as everything ruins their day in the current meta. Run balance with traps that can stall entire turns for best bet at turning game and maybe pack monster removal like econ.

Vampires are actually fine in this meta but require some degree of luck to succeed. I find that "Right back at you" (Marik/Yubel skill) make up for the ...

... power creep that the current packs brought (3000 attack monsters mainly) with their introduction. Sealed Tombs definitely recommended but know that RBAY works in a pinch (got to DLMax in KC with it)

Koaki players can eat it because I never bothered getting a Koaki deck.

So can the Karakuri's.

My decklist for anyone who wants it:

Skill - Right Back at You
Gozuki x2
Samurai Skull x3
Vampire Grace x2
Vampire Vamp
Vampire Familiar x2
Vampire Retainer x2
Vampire Kingdom x2
Vampire's Domain
Vampire Takeover
Hey, Trunade! x2
Mirror Wall x2

I like to keep my cards at the 20 minimum and you can swap out MW with other traps but I like MW for current meta; handtraps or Windstorm/JoA recommended

This deck is bricky, I unable to pass legend 1 using it,the hype is too much, or maybe Im just unlucky while using it,but after I changed to my f2p deck amazoness and I went straight to legend 3, LOL

I had a Middle Age Mech Crowler player with AG deck taunted me repeatedly, likely for using Balance Zane with AG deck, plus me using Wyvern just to grab Castle.

.....That Crowler player forfeited not long after that lol

Don't fall for the hype. If you've reached KOG before, just save your money and gems and have fun in Gold if you can't rank up anymore. This game is too grindy and expensive.

Better whip out your wallet if you plan on making KOG this month

Why should I? If only a few chosens will reach KOG this month, it is worse for the statics of the game, and not for me.
It will also scare away many players.
I'm going to spend money on Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Bye, play your cartoon pokemon game.

well this deck is not that broken. i've tried it. i still got sweep by a lot of current meta decks and even off meta decks. it's about having a good hand i suppose.

the pic is the deck i run with. de-spell is the only baby i treasure from this because it's free.

Do you have Twister? I run 1 Twister and 1 Double Cyclone, Twister is useful for when your opponent doesn't play any set spell/trap or face-up spell/trap that remains on the field.

Twister is also useful because you can destroy your opponent's face-up trap if needed, and being Quick-Play, you can Set it to make a surprise play on opponent's turn.

You can run Windstorm of Etaqua instead of Pulse Mines. It's really cheap since you just need to level up Mai for it, and it doesn't require you to control Machines meaning it can be used even when you control no monster.

Honestly I think Windstorm is better than Pulse Mines, only issue is that we only get 1 Windstorm at the moment.

You only need 1 Pathfinder, replace the other two with Ancient Gear Frame for more low level beaters.

Wyvern can easily thin your deck, so Pathfinder is actually not that needed, even though you can't search Geartown with Wyvern, but with the deck thinning you're bound to draw into it quickly, especially since you run 3 Geartown.

hold on yeah. let me adjust the deck according to the reply. im glad though you (guys) took the time to reply and help fix the deck. i dont have twister or cyclone. i think. despell and double cyclone are my closest buddies atm

Dragon Spirit of White and Cosmic Cyclone really hurts this deck.

In order to get the rusty gears working you need to spend money better prepare your wallet

I like using a bit of Synchros with my Ancient Gear deck, Unknown Synchron is just amazing. Currently running 21 cards because memes.

21-22 is actually fine for AG, since Wyvern and the Geartown + spell destroyer combo easily thins your deck.

Even 30 cards is ok as long as you can get the engine running (example: grass) and/or doesn't impede your deck consistency.
