Pros

  • This card can't be destroyed by battle.
  • It can switch 1 of your opponent's face-up attack position monster to defense position once during your Main Phase.

Cons

  • Defense is pretty low for a monster that requires a tribute.
  • This card gains 3 counters when summoned. It loses 1 counter during the end of Damage Step when it attacks or attacked. It is destroyed when you can't remove any counters.

Tips

Soul Exchange

Summon B.E.S. Crystal Core by using Use Soul Exchange. Tribute your opponent's monster instead of yours at the cost of not conducting your battle phase at the turn when this card is activated.

Treeborn Frog

You can set Treeborn Frog to defend from attacks and Special Summon it on your next turn to use it as a tribute for B.E.S. Crystal Core.

Summon without a Tribute

These cards can be used to Summon B.E.S. Crystal Core without a tribute. A Legendary Ocean reduces the level of all WATER monsters in both players' hands and on the field by 1 which makes B.E.S. Crystal Core level 4. Pay 1,000 Life Points instead of tributing a monster by using Mausoleum of the Emperor.

This card was back in DM. Arcana himself used it as his first or second monster.
