Cannot be Normal Summoned if you control a Level 5 or higher monster. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 monster with 0 DEF in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target in face-up Defense Position. Its effects are negated. You cannot Special Summon any other monsters, except from the Extra Deck, during the turn you activate this effect.
Cannot be Normal Summoned when you control a high-leveled monster.
Can only revive monsters with no defense in defense position.
Tips
Good for making Synchro plays by reviving a 0 defense monster with the appropriate level.
Gouki and Dinowrestler are archetypes with all 0 DEF monsters and decent graveyard setup. Masked Chameleon can be added to these decks giving them access to a Synchro toolbox.
Star Eater
Masked Chameleon can revive a level-7 monster to make Star Eater Dragon.
You can revive a high attack monster with no defense. Then when your opponent attacks it use Gamushura to change your monster to attack position, ideally destroying your opponent’s monster and dealing massive damage in the process.
You can revive Yubel, and because Masked Chameleon negates the revived monster’s effect, you can keep it on the field without needing to pay maintenance cost.
