Pros

  • Attack Boost for all monsters.
  • Self Special Summoning.
  • Tags into another Gladiator Beast effect.

Cons

  • No defense stat.
  • Requires a Gladiator Beast to declare attack to Special Summon from the hand.

Tips

Gladiator Beast

Gladiator Beast Vespasius’ attack boost can be activated when he is tagged into by another Gladiator Beast. Special Summoning Gladiator Beast Vespasius from your hand is a good way to increase field presence and setup for a Fusion Summon.

Test Tiger

Can quicken the Special Summoning for Gladiator Beast Vespasius from your deck while also counting as being Special Summoned by a Gladiator Beast monster.

All gladiator beasts failed to bottom depths. Not even rookie level.

Having ONLY Main Phase 1 made 90% gladiator beast wimps.

I wish Timeeater gets released in Duel Links as limited 1.

This card and Dragunity Coarse. Before they were released, Gladial Beasts and Dragunities were given new structure decks EX with new broken cards. Yet instead of nerfing some cards that support said new broken cards, they went the other way around and released MORE broken cards. Only for Dragunity they later saw the damage and nerfed the equip spell. But Bestiari remains bizarrely completely free at goddamn 3 after all this time. Why is that?

Because gb suck in our era/meta. They are outdated and despite the new support they got they still fail hard.

How "outdated" is a deck that destroys your entire board and summons big monsters instantly. Sounds like there just aren't enough people actually trying.

2 cards hardly constitute the entire board, if you´re referring to Gyzarus. Unfortunately, the lack of a Main Phase 2 hurst Gladiator Beasts badly. Their gimmick is to launch an onslaught, then summon other monsters for their effects and immediately bring out another Fusion before ending your turn to boost your defence.

Now, you must pray the new ones survive until your next turn.

But they have cards that protect their Gyzarus and fusions. I'm sadly cut off from trying it because 3x War Chariot needs money but the options they have like chariot and the charge trap, along Gyzarus clear too many cards. It just sounds so op.

I got to gold 1 in the current ranked duels march - april using the gladiator deck but it gets stomped by so many other decks. Takes too long / too many tuns to keep tagging in and out. Many times a better deck already has you in trap hell or just summons 3 blue eyes in 2 turns and you're 🔥ed xD

The problem is that Konami released super strong decks like DM, Shiranui, etc.. To ask you:

Wanna win? Then purchase that box that you never bought before.
Gladiators will become as good as DM is right now when the next 2-3 boxes come out.

By then those who never bought gladiator cards will be crying to death.

well gb time was already over 2-3 years ago. it was when the meta either CA (this was everywhere), gb, stall/lava golem, phoenix, some 3sd ninja deck, and maybe some ananta.

i think gb at the time lasts 3-4 months as top tier until SSA comes, and then the next box, sylvan obliterate the gb existence.

I'm definitely not crying ATM, I think it's you that's crying now

I have GB Andal on the field. But when I attack a monster using him, I cant use Vespasius effect. But I can summon Vespasius when attacking monster using other GB like Bestiari etc.

Vespasius only mentioned when GB monster battles, NOT when GB effect monster battles. Is there anything I missed?

Anyone has any clue?

I attacked with GB spartacus and it also did not trigger its effect...

Probably something else prevented you from Special Summoning?

Like your opponent or you used a card that prevents you from Special Summoning for the rest of the turn.

Otherwise, try keeping records of all your duels, and when it happens again, report it to Konami, with the record as proof.

looks very powerful

The correct number is 2 with three rejection. And unexpected dai. Opening dominatanus is super easy now or gyzaurus plus 1 glad

Agreed. 3 of these would be overkill.

This is a must at 3 for any GB decks.
GB can become way more competitive now.

Potential Tier 2 or may be even 1.

I love Glad Beasts, but they most likely won't be tiered. They are still gonna be too slow, but they do get a little boost. 3 Vespasius isn't perhaps the best way, will be bad if you don't open with other Glad Beasts.
