Pros

  • Solid stats for a 6-starred monster.
  • Can destroy spell/trap cards with its effect.
  • Great synergy with banish-supporting cards.

Cons

  • Cannot be normal summoned or set.
  • Requires 3 monsters with 2 different attributes to special summon this card.
  • Requires you to discard 1 card each time you activate its effect to destroy spell/trap cards.

Tips, related cards, skills

Wild Tornado

Activate your Desert Twister's effect and destroy your own set Wild Tornado to activate its secondary effect "If this Set card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, select and destroy 1 face-up card on the field."

Smoke Grenade of the Thief

Activate and equip it to your Desert Twister then destroy it using its own effect, this way you can discard 1 card in your opponent's hand and you will be able to take a look what cards are they holding. (Best to counter Sphere Kuriboh.)

With the addition of Kyonshee this card is pretty strong on Harpie decks. Even if you don't have Kyonshee you can make up with Grepher.

" Edgar81539 With the addition of Kyonshee this card is pretty strong on Harpie decks. Even if you don't have Kyonshee you can make up with Grepher." -- Grepher is abit better due to it being a normal warrior monster, that's searchable via blue dragon summoner's effect.

Oh yeah I realized that a bit later, also Grepher has nice defense.

This card has a lot of potential. One moment before I lost battle with someone using HHG deck, I able to summon this monster, destroy that hunting spell card and turn the table!
Anoymous
Is it possible to discard it, then revive it using shallow grave and bypass its normal summoning conditions?

IMO it's pretty splashable since right now Jerry Beans and Sonic Bird are the strongest vanilla beaters right now.

The condition for summoning this is almost as hard as enrise. Don't see this being used much.

Are you kidding harpies are going to have a field day with this card all they need is something like jerry beans man in the deck.

Not nearly as hard to summon as Enrise. Enrise requires 3 Light Fairies (good luck finding so many worthwhile light fairies to put in your deck right now) and a Dark Fiend. Not only do you need a specific attribute for your banished monsters but also /type/. And you need 4 instead of 3. On top of that, fairies specifically tend not to be with putting in a deck to begin with.

Now consider Earth and Wind monsters (of any type.) Hane-hane? Ladybug? Behemoth? Leotaur, Jerry, Sonic Duck? Trust me. It's not difficult to get this guy out. Hell, even Tornado Bird. He's not hard to get out and there's some great options for Earth and Wind monsters to burn.

Downside is the cost for destroying spell/traps. I dont see this being used much in pvps

pfffff, bro there are plenty of cards that require the same cost in the game. Only downside I see in this card are it's summoning requirements as it can't just be slapped in any deck, which is fine because it's moderately strong.
