  • Above average attack.
  • Can attack multiple monsters the turn it is summoned.

  • Can't be special summoned.
  • Returns back to your hand the turn it's summoned or flipped up from being attacked.
  • Low defense, making it easily destroyed if set.

It's mainly useful for taking care of cards like Bubonic Vermin. Set this card face down and protect it with cards like Windstorm of Etaqua or Enemy Controller so it doesn't get attacked and flipped face up. Flip summon it next turn and summon another monster so you can destroy all and use another monster to direct attack.

Be careful when going against yugi that uses field spell "Yami" since it will reduce this card's attack to 1500, and attacking enemy monsters can be dangerous when they have multiple set spell/trap cards since it can be Mirror Wall. Use Trap Jammer for some safety.

Use spirit support cards in a spirit deck like Mirror of Yata, Orb of Yasaka, Sword of Kusanagi, Spirit's Invitation, and Shinobird Power Spot to make the most out of spirit cards. It is not that useful outside of spirit decks since it leaves the field the turn it is summoned.

well, the asura priest does state it can attack all of your opponents monsters and not "it can attack a lot of times" so i think the answer is: not that well

The old card rulling said that it could attack the same monster countless times. When spirit reaper was a staple in old TCG this was a hard counter. An attack position spirit reaper could mean game over. However, the rulling has changed and now it can attack each monster once.
Asura Priest paired with Power of the Guardians is OP. It can decimate your opponents field while getting stronger w each attack. Keep the card on the field w Mirror of Yata and continue the path of destruction!

Yeah, I just spent my UR Dream Ticket for this. I got some OTKs and some failed attemtps. Now I doubt my own decision.

ASURA STRIKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This card should easily be an 8+/10. Hands down. It has 1700 attack, that alone in the game warrants an 8. There is one HUGE issue with this card and id like everyone who owns one to submit this to Konami to fix.

The issue is that in auto mode the computer plays this card in face down defense position no matter what scenario basically. Making it completely useless. The computer should be playing this in face up 100% of the time so it can be retained after your turn. Please help get this fixed as this is a staple card in my deck and currently just losing so many autos over this.

Agreed. Always played face down lame. Such good card for traps and flip effects. Comes back to your hand even if other cards mess with it.

Or maybe you should stop relying on auto so much and actually play the game.
Srh great for this combo

Lol yeah

Inflict 3500 damage in a turn using Nimble Musasabi and Asura Priest
Sword of deep seated X Azura Priest. Great against traps and effects monsters still with 2200 attack 3x. And sword goes back to the top of the deck
Daemon Blitzkrieg
For all asking, think Grasschopper not Tyrant. Once it does a Direct attack, that's it.

Also that's a really...crazy question to ask. :/
Anyone try this as a deck with 3 of these, 3 riryokus, and some metalmorphs/other equip cards (bow ceal maybe?)

The effects kinda confusing even for expert players but it's basically banish 2, draw 3. Bet...
Who dares to make a joke about the 2nd handsomest Yugioh character?
No, Scud is the 2nd handsomest. Nice pick too.
I know your post is very old, but I just want to say, we now know it's from level up reward
