You can Ritual Summon this card with "Black Illusion Ritual". Once per turn: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; equip that target to this card. (You can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect.) This card's ATK and DEF become equal to that equipped monster's. If this card would be destroyed by battle, destroy that equipped monster instead. While equipped with that monster, any battle damage you take from battles involving this card inflicts equal effect damage to your opponent.

  • The effect of this card is very useful to remove a monster that cannot be destroyed by card effect such as Water monsters with Sea Lord's Amulet.
  • Excellent with the effect of Sphere Kuriboh. You can ritual summon this monster only banishing a Sphere Kuriboh in your graveyard.

Cons

  • Takes up spell/trap slots in your field when its effect is used.
  • Zero stats.

relinquished glitch in auto battle? so my oponent has lord of d. he uses flute and summon red eyes and meteor dragon. during auto battle, on my turn the game summons reliquished and uses relinqushed effect and the spell card riryoku. now if i was playing manually i would have taken over red eyes black dragon and use riryoku on meteor dragon then 🔥 meteor dragon. then i would have a strong monster to 🔥 everyone else on the field. the game instead takes over lord of d and uses riryoku on red eyes and 🔥 red eyes. meteor dragon is still alive with an attack 1800 and i have a weak reliquished with an attack of 1200. is anyone experiencing this too?

Lord of D. prevents dragon-type monsters to be target of any monster effect, which means relinq can only equip lord of d.

i think michizure should have the ability to destory relinquished and his equipe card all together, hes too op compared to like pretty much all other cards due to minimal counters

Why is it not possible to use twister on Relinquished? Just played pvp and he equipped my facedown card and I tried to use twister to to destroy the equipped card but didn't work?

Twister can only work on face up spell/traps so I'm guessing it's the same for monsters, if they take a face down monster, it stays face down

a friend of mine has 2 "relinquished" and 2 "black illusion ritual". does anybody know how to get these cards other than in pegasus' deck? he doesn't remember how he got them

you'll get 1st set( relinquished + ritual ) from unlocked pegasus deck
and another set from score reward from pegasus event.as I know currently no other way to aquired it.

It is worth noting that when a monster is equipped to relinquished, it is treated as a spell card. What this means is, relinquished will NOT gain the extra damage or defense from any kind of effect on the equipped card, such as black pendant. Also, I assume due to the nature of how the card is coded, stealing a monster that you use Riryoku on does NOT work. For example, if you use Riryoku on a 1000 atk monster, and then steal that monster, Relinquished will only gain a total of 1000 atk, not 1500. Keep all of this in mind when you're trying to figure out lethal damage.

Someone is salty because they didn't know this before and equiped a monster with 1000 attack that had 3 black pendants on it.

I think I am missing something basic here, but I just equipped my opponents monster to my "Relinquished". I attack and during the damage step, I used "Metalmorph". Targeted my "Relinquished". "Relinquished" continued the attack and it destroyed my equipped monster and I took damage. What happened is, "Metalmorph" never gave my "Relinquished" 300 or the half of the attack target. Glitch or nah? Ruling anyone?

I need help on this one.
If you have a monster equipped to Relinquished already but wants to equip the enemy's new monster instead. How do I discard the currently equppied card so I can use the effect this turn aswell? I've seen someone do it but can't for the love of me figure out how. I can only use Relinquished effect while no monsters are equipped to it.

You have to use some sort of removal card. The monster equipped to Relinquished is treated as a spell card, or any other equip card, so something like De-Spell should work. I'd imagine Morale Boost also works with it.

What happens when you use gravel storm, does the monster go to your hand?

If you used Gravelstorm, the monster would go to its owner's hand.

Pros: if you can limit their field to one monster, you can use cards that flip Relinquished, or destroy the monster you equipped to activate his effect again
Cons: if they attack you more than once you take full damage and relinquished is dead
