Set Skill

[Skill] descriptionUser
Unstoppable Train!
You don't have to Tribute monsters when you Normal Summon/Set a monster during this turn. The effects of monsters you Normal Summon/Set during this turn will be negated. This Skill can only be used if you begin the Duel with a Deck (excluding Extra Deck) that follows the conditions below. This Skill can only be used twice per Duel.

● Your Deck contains 10 or more monsters.
● All monsters in your Deck are Level 4 or 10 monsters.
● All monsters in your Deck are EARTH Machine-Type monsters with 1800 or higher ATK.

Anna Kaboom

How to Play

Heavy Freight Train Derricrane

Heavy Freight Train Derricrane
Heavy Freight Train Derricrane
EARTH Machine ★10
ATK 2800 / DEF 2000
Maximum Gustav [UR]
If an EARTH Machine-Type monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned to your field (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card from your hand, but its original ATK and DEF become halved. You can only use this effect of "Heavy Freight Train Derricrane" once per turn. If this card is detached from an Xyz Monster and sent to the Graveyard to activate that monster's effect: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it.

Has high ATK and DEF, but it's used mostly as a Xyz support since it can special summon itself when you summon another monster. Its specialty is that it can destroy a card your opponent controls when it's detached as an Xyz material, and it's not once per turn.

If used to Xyz into Gustav Max, you can use Gustav Max's effect to deal 1000 damage and activate Freight Train's effect to destroy your opponent's monster so you can attack directly with Gustav Max for an OTK. With Flying Pegasus, you can make Abyss Dweller if you need a quick-effect detach so you can destroy a card your opponent controls during their turn.

Its ATK and DEF becomes halved if special summoned from its own effect, but you can reset the stats by using Chalice or Book of Moon on it if necessary. If you have no other monster in hand, you can use the skill to summon this on the field and it's still a good beater because of the high ATK.

Super Express Bullet Train

Super Express Bullet Train
Super Express Bullet Train
EARTH Machine ★10
ATK 3000 / DEF 0
Maximum Gustav [UR]
Cannot declare an attack unless you send 2 other cards you control to the Graveyard. You can only use each of these effects of "Super Express Bullet Train" once per turn.

● If all monsters you control are EARTH Machine-Type monsters (min. 1): You can Special Summon this card from your hand.
● During the End Phase, if this card is in the Graveyard because it was sent there this turn: You can target 1 Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard, except "Super Express Bullet Train"; add it to your hand.

Another special summon monster to help Xyz, but this special summon is more flexible compared to Freight Train since you can do it if you already have a monster on your field instead of having to summon another one.

It has high ATK but has a heavy restriction if you want to attack. Using the skill makes it a simple normal summon high attack beater, but only lasts for a turn. Using Chalice on it also works if you need it to attack without having to sacrifice your other monsters.

The last effect helps recover a card in your grave. If you have no other monster in the grave, make sure to detach a different monster that you used to Xyz instead of this as the first card. A good card to recover is usually Flying Pegasus since it's essentially a 1 card Xyz support, allowing you to repeatedly summon a rank 4 or 10.

Flying Pegasus Railroad Stampede

Flying Pegasus Railroad Stampede
Flying Pegasus Railroad Stampede
EARTH Machine ★4
ATK 1800 / DEF 1000
Maximum Gustav [SR]
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 EARTH Machine monster in your GY, except "Flying Pegasus Railroad Stampede"; Special Summon it in Defense Position, but negate its effects. You can target 1 other face-up monster you control; the Level of that monster or this card becomes the Level of the other. You cannot declare attacks the turn you activate this effect, except with Xyz Monsters. You can only use each effect of "Flying Pegasus Railroad Stampede" once per turn.

Flying Pegasus becomes a 1 card Xyz if you at least have a monster in the grave, but it's still useful even if you get first turn since Freight Train and Bullet Train can special summon themselves to help make an Xyz.

The other Machine monsters are all level 10 to make a rank 10. This is the only low level monster that can be summoned properly, and having this lets you make a rank 4 to have more options in the extra deck. The effect of reviving a monster is also useful so you can bring back Freight Train again as a card to detach for a card removal effect.

Night Express Knight

Night Express Knight
Night Express Knight
EARTH Machine ★10
ATK 3000 / DEF 3000
Anna Unlock Event [UR]
Cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing, but its original ATK becomes 0.

The other monster that can be normal summoned without the skill so that you can bring out Freight Train and Bullet Train.

It has 0 attack if normal summoned without the skill, but you can use Chalice on it to become 3400 ATK, which will reset it to 3000 next turn.

Techs

Mystical Space Typhoon
Mystical Space Typhoon
Quick Spell
Antinomic Theory [UR]
Selection Box Vol.03 Mini [UR]
Target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy that target.

The deck doesn't really handle getting disrupted that well, so having this can help ensure that you can make safer plays. Together with Freight Train's effect from something like Abyss Dweller, you'll be able to destroy multiple cards during your opponent's turn.

Book of Moon
Book of Moon
Quick Spell
Chaotic Soldiers [UR]
Selection Box Vol.04 [UR]
Target 1 face-up monster on the field; change that target to face-down Defense Position.

Very useful disruption tool to stop your opponent, but this can also be used on your own monsters to avoid targeting cards like Karma Cut or to reset your own monster's ATK/DEF.

Xyz Reborn
Xyz Reborn
Normal Trap
Shark Fang [UR]
Target 1 Xyz Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it, and if you do, attach this card to it as an Xyz Material.

Since this is an XYZ focused deck, there's a decent chance you'll be able to use this in a duel. Xyz Reborn being able to bring back Gustav Max for 1000 Damage Dealing or Juggernaut Liebe for 6000 ATK Stats.

Fiendish Chain
Fiendish Chain
Continuous Trap
Shining Hope [UR]
Selection Box Vol. 03 [UR]
Special Set Bundle Sale [UR]
Activate this card by targeting 1 Effect Monster on the field; negate that face-up monster's effects, also that face-up monster cannot attack. When it is destroyed, destroy this card.

Stops potential combos from being performed which can disrupt your opponent. However, it can be stopped if your opponent chains a quick-play spell/trap removal. This also doesn't stop your opponent from using the affected monster into a synchro or XYZ.

Skill Prisoner
Skill Prisoner
Normal Trap
Absolute Inferno [SR]
Target 1 card you control; this turn, when any monster effect resolves that targeted that card at activation, negate that effect. During either player's turn, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 card you control; this turn, when any monster effect resolves that targeted that card at activation, negate that effect.

Skill Prisoner will allows your Monsters get rid from your opponent's monster effect target activation especially like Farfa that will banish your monster when it sent to the GY which used in Popular Meta Deck, Burning Abyss.

Barrage Blast
Barrage Blast
Continuous Trap
Heart of Xyz [SR]
Once per turn, you can detach any number of materials from Machine Xyz Monsters you control, then target that many cards on the field; destroy them. If a Machine Xyz Monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect while this card is in your GY: You can banish this card and 1 Machine Xyz Monster from your GY; inflict damage to your opponent equal to the banished monster's Rank x 100.

Barrage Blast is a decent continuous trap with multiple card removal effect if you control Machine Xyz Monsters with at least 2 Xyz Materials.

The second effect will inflict additional damage while your machines Xyz Monster is destroyed by battle or card effect. In this case of this Deck, the amount of damage will be like:

  • Number 27: Dreadnought Dreadnoid (Rank 4): 400 Dmg
  • Gustav Max & Skypalace Gangaridai (Rank 10): 1000 Dmg
  • Juggernaut Liebe (Rank 11): 1100 Dmg

Extra Decks

Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Juggernaut Liebe
Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Juggernaut Liebe
EARTH Machine ★11
ATK 4000 / DEF 4000
Heart of Xyz [UR]
3 Level 11 monsters
Once per turn, you can also Xyz Summon "Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Juggernaut Liebe" by using 1 Rank 10 Machine Xyz Monster you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; it gains 2000 ATK/DEF, also for the rest of this turn, you can only declare an attack with this card. During each Battle Phase, this card can make attacks on monsters up to the number of materials it has +1.

You can Xyz Summon Juggernaut Liebe directly by using Rank 10 Xyz Machine monster like Gustav Max or Skypalace Gangaridai. Juggernaut Liebe will have 6000 ATK stat by its effect with multiple attack to monsters that you opponent control if it has min 2. Xyz Materials. Note that additional attacks are only available when attacking monsters, and after defeat those monsters, you cannot attack directly.

Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max
Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max
EARTH Machine ★10
ATK 3000 / DEF 3000
Master Pack [UR]
Secret Pack: Dreadnought Advance [UR]
2 Level 10 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.

The main Xyz monster to go into with the level 10 monsters. It can deal 1000 effect damage and has 3000 ATK, which is enough to OTK if you can attack directly.

You'll have a better chance to OTK if you can make this using Freight Train as one of the Xyz materials.

Heavy Armored Train Ironwolf
Heavy Armored Train Ironwolf
EARTH Machine ★4
ATK 2200 / DEF 2200
The Unstoppable Love Train: Anna Unlock Event [UR]
2 Level 4 Machine-Type monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Machine-Type monster you control; this turn, it can attack your opponent directly, also other monsters cannot attack. If this card in your possession is destroyed by an opponent's card (by battle or card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: You can add 1 Level 4 Machine-Type monster from your Deck to your hand.

Train Ironwolf's effect will allows 1 of your Machine-Type monsters like Juggernaut Liebe (6000 ATK Stats with effect) or Gustav Max (3000 ATK Stats) attack your opponent directly for dealing massive amount of damage.

Abyss Dweller
Abyss Dweller
WATER Sea Serpent ★4
ATK 1700 / DEF 1400
Photons of Galaxy [UR]
Selection Box Vol.03 Mini [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters
While this card has an Xyz Material attached that was originally WATER, all WATER monsters you control gain 500 ATK. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; any card effects that activate in your opponent's Graveyard cannot be activated this turn.

Has a quick effect to detach a card, which you can use to detach Freight Train so you can destroy your opponent's card during their turn as a form of disruption.

This helps go against decks that rely on effects that activate in the graveyard, but with no WATER attribute monsters in the deck, Abyss Dweller will only have 1700 ATK.

Skypalace Gangaridai
Skypalace Gangaridai
WIND Machine ★10
ATK 3400 / DEF 3000
Heart of Xyz [R]
2 Level 10 monsters
You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy that target, and if you do, inflict 500 damage to your opponent. You can only use the effect of "Skypalace Gangaridai" once per turn. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.

Skypalace Gangaridai has card removal effect with additional 500 damage. Then, you can Xyz summon Juggernaut Liebe with this card to help secure some games quickly, instead of giving your opponent another turn to make a comeback.

Other Card Options

Other Techs

Monster Reborn
Monster Reborn
Normal Spell
5th Anniversary Campaign [UR]
Target 1 monster in either player's Graveyard; Special Summon it.

To help have another monster on the field. Using it to revive Flying Pegasus will also activate its effect to bring back another monster from the grave, making it a pretty good comeback card.

Forbidden Chalice
Forbidden Chalice
Quick Spell
Servants of Kings [SR]
Selection Box Vol. 01 Mini [SR]
Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the end of this turn, that target gains 400 ATK, but its effects are negated.

To negate your opponent's monster, but you can also use this to offset the drawback of Freight Train, Bullet Train, and Express Knight.

Unlike Book of Moon, you can use this during the damage step to reset your monster's ATK/DEF to catch unsuspecting opponents.

Treacherous Trap Hole
Treacherous Trap Hole
Normal Trap
Visions of Ice [SR]
Selection Box Vol. 02 Mini [SR]
If you have no Trap Cards in your Graveyard: Target 2 monsters on the field; destroy those targets.

Powerful trap that the deck can bring since there aren't any semi-limited cards that are core in the deck.

Other Extra Decks

Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer
Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer
LIGHT Machine ★10
ATK 5000 / DEF 2000
Ranked Rewards [UR]
3 Level 10 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; destroy all Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls. Your opponent cannot activate Spell/Trap Cards in response to this effect's activation.

This is Xyz summonable with 2 monsters by using Dreadnought Dreadnoid's effect.

It has very high attack to help as a beater and a decent effect that can wipe your opponent's backrow. But it's not that reliable since your opponent can use their spells/traps before this effect is activated.

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon
DARK Dragon ★4
ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Phantom of Rebellion [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters
You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes half its current ATK, and if it does, this card gains that lost ATK.

Having this in the deck can help you get over just about any monster by battle, as long as they can be targeted.

Number 70: Malevolent Sin
Number 70: Malevolent Sin
DARK Insect ★4
ATK 2400 / DEF 1200
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3.

Very useful to have since it can help you win games easily. Together with Freight Train's effect, you'll be able to remove 2 monsters in a turn to help attack directly.

Number 27: Dreadnought Dreadnoid
Number 27: Dreadnought Dreadnoid
WATER Machine ★4
ATK 2200 / DEF 1000
Maximum Gustav [R]
2+ Level 4 monsters
At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card destroyed an opponent's monster by battle: You can Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 Rank 10 or higher Machine Xyz Monster by using this face-up card you control as material. (This is treated as an Xyz Summon. Transfer its materials to the Summoned monster.) You can only use this effect of "Number 27: Dreadnought Dreadnoid" once per turn. If this face-up card on the field would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can detach 1 material from this card instead.

Decent ATK and defensive effect to help survive. Bring this out if your opponent only has 1 monster on the field that you know you can get over. Destroying a monster by battle will let you Xyz summon a rank 10, which can be used to bring out Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer or Gustav Max with 3 materials.

So, this is basically another glass canon deck that relies on spells/traps for the case where you go 1st?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Pretty much. It's good at OTK'ing but not good at keeping your monsters alive. But Chalice + Night Express is a fun combo anyway.

I'd say that this deck is balanced though, big atk/def but lacking trap protection, unlike the photon consistency skill
somesmuck
Until they add Dora to the game, the deck has no defensive plays or ways to get around certain monsters (Bloom Diva, Gaia, etc...) and is over reliant on backrow removal before doing anything. While it's fun to play, getting your ankles broken by a single book of moon is as frustrating as ever.

Konami, can we have Dora?
