Pros

  • Can retrieve 1 “Ghostrick” Spell/Trap from your deck to your hand if it inflicts LP damage to your opponent.
  • Can change this card face-down Defense mode once per turn as a defensive move.
  • Synergizes well with other “Ghostrick” archetypes.

Cons

  • Cannot be Normal summoned unless you possess another “Ghostrick” monster on the field.
  • Very low DEF stats.

Tips

  • This monster can be used to quickly search out useful “Ghostrick” traps, but it requires you to deal LP damage first which can be challenging.
  • Since Ghostrick Stein is Zombie-type, you can use Call of the Mummy to Special Summon it.
  • Do keep in mind Ghostrick monsters are still generally weak in ATK and DEF to be considered competitive meta.

Ghostrick Archetype

These are the Ghostrick monsters that can synergize with Ghostrick Stein.

Ghostrick Support

These are the exclusive support cards for Ghostrick monsters. Ghostrick Break can Special Summon 2 different Ghostrick monsters than the ones being destroyed by battle or card effect, from the graveyard to the field in face-down defense position. Ghostrick Scare can change any number of face-down defense mode monsters you control to face-up defense mode, and will also change your opponent’s face-up monsters to face-down defense mode, equal to the number of face-up defense mode monsters you control. Ghostrick Vanish protects all your Ghostrick monsters and face-down defense position monsters from being destroyed by card effects, for 1 turn.

Support Cards

Since “Ghostrick” monsters are relatively weak in terms of ATK and DEF, they would require a substantial amount of support to keep them alive on the field. Mirror wall is not really helpful here since the current meta usually involves high ATK monsters that can hit through your Mirror Wall if you are playing “Ghostrick” themed monsters

Protection Combo

Using this combo trap card can effectively redirect all your opponent’s monster attacks to yourself while you do not take any LP damage as long as you control a monster on the field.
