That's not useless at all... most of the best traps in the meta activate in tha battle phase, namely before the damage step. If you use this, it ends the chain, causing you to proceed to the damage step, where those traps can't be activated again until afterward. It's great for otk decks that don't wanna get stopped by drowning or wod. Highly underrated card

Except it's ONLY useful against cards that respond directly to Summons or attacks. So barring Floodgate Trap Hole, Trap Jammer will always be significantly better than Malfunction. (Especially since Trap Jammer's effective against cards like Mirror Wall or Spikeshield that don't need to be used in response to an attack, whereas Malfunction does nothing to them.)

Also, OTK decks care even less since Anti-Magic Arrows and Hey, Trunade! are both much, MUCH better for that purpose, being Spells that stop everything and not just maybe one trap.

If used against cards like "Judgement of Anubis" or "Seven tools of the Bandit," will they have to discard 1 card, pay 1000LP again?

Yes, they won't get the costs back as long as the cards doesn't say something else

Dumbest trap card ever created. Pays LP to negate the activation, after negating it the user can activate the card again. THE DUMBEST CARD IN THIS GAME, and beyond useless period

can this card counter the activation of JUDGEMENT of Anubis?
I have problems to destroy Pegasus' Toon World while he has Judgement of Anubis because i only have spell cards to destroy it
