Overview

This deck uses some of the Fish cards that are good with special summoning, which are mostly level 4 on their own so they're usable without having to use Reginald's skill. While they don't have long combo extensions to deal with various situations, its aim is in the consistency and control to take advantage of some of the strong low level water XYZ monsters.

Shark Rising
Begin the Duel with 1 "Xyz Revive Splash" placed in the Graveyard. During this Duel, you cannot use Rank 4 or above Xyz Monsters as material for an Xyz Summon except for WATER "Number" monsters.

In addition, the following effect can be used once per Duel by paying Life Points to make your Life Points equal 1000. During this turn, monsters you control that have "Number 32: Shark Drake" as Xyz Material can inflict double damage.

This Skill can only be used/applied if you begin the Duel with a Deck (excluding Extra Deck) that containers at least 7 Fish-Type monsters.

During this turn, when you Xyz Summon a WATER monster using a monster(s) played by this Skill, the Level of the monster(s) can be treated as 5. This Skill can only be used once per turn and twice per Duel.

How to Play

Lantern Shark & Buzzsaw Shark

Lantern and Buzzsaw Shark are field extenders, so their purpose is to get materials on board for your Xyz plays. They also both share the effect of being able to act as Level-3 and 5 Xyz materials, giving you a wider range of monsters to make.

Lantern Shark Special Summons from the hand, while Buzzsaw Shark can Special Summon from the Deck but prevents the Special Summoned monster from activating its effect.

A full combo that utilizes both monsters will go something like this:

  1. Normal Summon Lantern Shark then use its effect to Special Summon Buzzsaw Shark.
  2. Buzzsaw Shark's effect special Summons another Level-4 monster. Then you can proceed to make a Rank-4.
  3. If you didn't use up all three monsters as material, you can Special Summon Silent Angler and go for another Rank-4.

Prioritize Special Summoning Buzzsaw Shark instead of Silent Angler with Lantern Shark's effect. Silent Angler can Special Summon itself later to extend your plays.

You can only use this effect of "Buzzsaw Shark" once per turn. If this card is used for the Xyz Summon of a WATER monster, it can be treated as a Level 3 or 5 monster.

Buzzsaw Shark often targets itself on the field with its own effect.

If you control a WATER monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand), but you cannot Special Summon monsters from your hand for the rest of this turn.

Silent Angler Special Summons itself for no cost, giving you an extra body on board to use as Xyz material. This requires a WATER monster on the field, so one way you can use it is to search Silent Angler with Mermaid Shark then Special Summon it.

Due to its downside, make sure you do all your other Special Summonings with Lantern Shark and Buzzsaaw Shark first before Special Summoning Silent Angler.

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can banish this card; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Fish-Type monster from your Deck, except "Beautunaful Princess". You can only use this effect of "Beautunaful Princess" once per turn.

Most of the time Beautunaful Princess acts like a fourth copy of Buzzsaw Shark. This is because during you combo, you'll usually want to Special Summon Buzzsaw Shark with Beautunaful Princess' effect.

For example:

  1. Normal Summon Beautunaful Princess then user its effect to Special Summon Buzzsaw Shark.
  2. Use Buzzsaw Shark's effect to Special Summon Lantern Shark.
  3. Use Lantern Shark's effect to Special Summon Silent Angler.

You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Number 32: Shark Drake" you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) During either player's turn, if your Life Points are 1000 or less: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and banish 1 monster from your Graveyard to target 1 face-up monster on the field; that target's ATK and DEF become 0 until the End Phase.

Similars to Utopia Ray effect, you can only use Shark Drake Veiss' effect when down to your last 1000 LP. Another OTK Potential Xyz Monster which can makes 1 monster your opponent control ATK to 0 and it can be used during either player's turn.

Once per turn, when this attacking card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon the destroyed monster to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Attack Position, also it loses 1000 ATK, and if you do Summon this way, this card can make a second attack during this Battle Phase.

The ATK stat is great and its effect can let you push a good amount of damage. However, the high cost of making Shark Drake and the presence of other more impactful monsters like Spider Shark and Abyss Dweller makes it difficult to justify summoning it.

Crystal zero can half the ATK of 1 monster your opponent control will sometimes get rid of Boss Beater and disrupt your opponent since this effect can be used during either player's turn.

A good option for a turn 1 play if you need to summon 2 high ATK monster to protect your LP. Use its effect to special summon Nightmare Shark so that you can bring Black Ray Lancer out.

If you only have 1 Nightmare Shark, it will mean that doing this play prevents you from having Nightmare Shark's direct attack as an option.

Can only be Xyz Summoned by Aurora Wing" and "Blizzard Falcon which is playable by applying Twins Together skill. The Powerful card negation effect including face-up backrow with ATK Boost effect last until the start of your next turn will severely handicap your opponent even after your turn ends.

While this card has an Xyz Material attached that was originally WATER, all WATER monsters you control gain 500 ATK. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; any card effects that activate in your opponent's Graveyard cannot be activated this turn.

The ATK boost is good but the main reason for running Abyss Dweller is graveyard control. Abyss Dweller is another popular Xyz monster run in Territory of the Sharks Decks. This monster is great at preventing the opponent from using resources from the graveyard such as The White Stone of Ancients and all Noble Arms.

Make sure to toggle your chain to "ON" instead of "AUTO" then use Abyss Dweller's effect at the start of the opponent's turn for best results.

When any player's monster declares an attack: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; all monsters your opponent currently controls lose 1000 ATK until the end of this turn. When this card is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 other monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. You can only use each effect of "Number 37: Hope Woven Dragon Spider Shark" once per turn.

Spider Shark is a powerful boss monster in many WATER Decks, especially ones that use Territory of the Sharks. The Skill makes it very easy to get Spider Shark on the field. The first effect is enough to entirely deter the opponent from attacking while Spider Shark is on the field. It also lets you beatdown enemy monsters even though your deck doesn't have anything above 3000 ATK.

The floating effect is essentially a Monster Reborn. You can even revive another copy of Spider Shark and other Extra Deck monsters.

Malevolent Sin is an anti-Xyz tech. Summon Malevolent Sin and use its effect to temporarily banish an enemy Xyz monster. The Xyz monster will return with no materials attached to it.

Roach is great for monster suppresion, much like a Trap Hole card. When your opponent summons a boss monster, use Roach's effect to immediately destroy it. This is an especially good counter against Synchro Decks. But most of the time, just Roach's presence on the field is enough to deter the opponent from making big monsters.

● 4 or more: It is unaffected by card effects, except "Super Quant" cards.
● 6 or more: Your opponent cannot add cards from the Deck to the hand by card effects.

Great Magnus will becomes powerful controller and great disruption effect on board with max. 3 materials which can be Xyz Summoned easily by using Dreadnoid's effect.

(This is treated as an Xyz Summon. Transfer its materials to the Summoned monster.) You can only use this effect of "Number 27: Dreadnought Dreadnoid" once per turn. If this face-up card on the field would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can detach 1 material from this card instead.

Decent ATK and defensive effect to help survive. Bring this out if your opponent only has 1 monster on the field that you know you can get over. Destroying a monster by battle will let you Xyz summon a rank 10, which can be used to bring out Great Magnus with 3 materials.

Upon summoning, Mermaid Shark fetches your other monsters. For a quick Xyz play, Normal Summon Mermaid Shark then search Silent Angler. Special Summon Silent Angler then use Territory of the Sharks to make Mermaid Shark Level-4, then proceed to make a Rank-4.

When this card is destroyed by battle with an opponent's monster and sent to the Graveyard: You can equip this card to that opponent's monster. That monster's ATK becomes 0, also it cannot change its battle position.

Shocktopus is another Level-4 monster you can use as Xyz material. While it doesn't have the field extending effect like your other Main Deck monsters, Shocktopus gives you a way to handle strong enemy monsters, at least before you summon Spider Shark.

When this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 Level 3 or 4 WATER Fish-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target in face-up Defense Position, but its effects are negated. You cannot Special Summon any monsters during the turn you activate this effect, except WATER monsters.

Useful as a comeback card for later turns. With how often this deck can make an XYZ play, you'll always have cards in the graveyard. Double Fin Shark is one of the cards to help with recovery so you don't end up low on resources.

You can target 1 Fish monster in your GY; add it to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Whitefish Salvage" once per turn. If this card in your possession is destroyed by an opponent's card effect and sent to your GY: Take 1 Fish monster from your Deck, and either add it to your hand or Special Summon it.

Whitefish Salvage gives more return the longer it stays on the field. Xyz Decks can burn through their resources quickly after making a lot of Extra Deck plays. With this you can constantly refresh your resources by recovering from the graveyard.

Tribute 1 Fish-Type monster to target 1 card on the field; destroy that target, and if you do, draw 1 card.

The Deck does a lot of Special Summoning so you'll rarely have nothing to use as cost for Fish Depth Charge. You can do the Lantern Shark Buzzsaw Shark combo, use two monsters as Xyz material then the last Fish as this card's cost. The removal effect is good for control and getting rid of problem cards, and the second effect is good for replenishing the cost.

In the twins together version you can replace silent angler for shark stickers an SR ticket monster

El deck es potente pero está mal diseñado, de primeras cambiar el Mermaid shark por princesa bellatún para así cambiar la habilidad de territorio de tiburones por la que uno quiera, en mi caso, el Umi de campo es buena opción como habilidad

Diva is like Squire, 1 card XYZ (squire was 1 card into sychro, often level 8/10 with skill). So this deck DIE with a simple nerf

Territory of the Shark, I guess?

So you can Xyz with Mermaid Shark

But there might be a better skill since Mermaid Shark's pretty much the only reason for Territory.
