Super Vehicroid - Mobile Base

Super Vehicroid - Mobile Base
TypeMachine, Fusion, Effect

1 "roid" Fusion Monster + 1 "roid" monster
You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; Special Summon 1 "roid" monster from your Deck or Extra Deck with ATK less than or equal to that monster. You can only use this effect of "Super Vehicroid - Mobile Base" once per turn. Once per turn, during the End Phase: You can target 1 "roid" monster in your Main Monster Zone (other than this card); return that monster you control to the hand, and if you do, move this card you control to that monster's Monster Zone.

How to Get

  • Can special summon Roid monsters from your deck or extra deck for no cost.
  • Great defense.

  • no attack stat.
  • Fairly difficult to fusion summon.

  • Since Mobile Base has 0 attack, your first Mobile Base can special summon another Mobile Base by targeting any monster your opponent controls.
  • Returning monsters to your hand can be used to remove bad effects like from Wall of Disruption, Mask of the Accursed, etc.

Roid Monsters

Here some Roid monsters you can special summon depending on the attack of monsters your opponent controls.

Weird "Roid" Monsters

Here are the monsters with Roid in their name but are not part of the Vehicroid Archetype. Because they have "roid" in their name, they can technically be special summoned by Super Vehicoid - Mobile Base. Elemental HERO Necroid Shaman is another "roid" monster but cannot be special summoned except by Fusion summon.

Switch Attack and Defense

Since having a good attack stat is usually more useful than a good defense stat, so you can use cards like Weapon Change, Inverse Universe, Shield and Sword, and Ojama Country to switch these stats.

wowww high defensee
The UR of the rumoured Roid EX structure deck?

There was such rumour?
This card is planned to be used in a link format. but what's the point to use this card in this game?. it's kinda hard to pull out also 5000 def i know that trap that change atk and def making it 5000 atk. but easily a donpa can makes this useless.

Duel Links lacks the Extra Monster Zone that its effect speaks of. I hope they can just remove that part to avoid confusion and errata it later if the game survives long enough to get Link Summoning as a mechanic. I also would like to see similar reworking for cards like Ojama Red or Scapegoat which also aren't supported by the Speed Duel format.

The text only mentioned Main Monster Zone, not Extra Monster Zone.

Main Monster Zone = the monster zone we've always have.

So there's no reason to remove that part.
Problem-solving card text would be wise to remove the mention of "Main Monster Zone" because that concept isn't part of the Duel Links format.

They might add some since snchro is coming
Mixeroid has 0 ATK, so if you opponent has a face up monster, you will always have a target.
Holy sht, this remind me of 80s anime robot.

Yeah, it's a big Gundam/Megazord/Transformer. Totally what they'd intended for it.
Kinda weird that they are releasing this first before "Super Vehicroid - Stealth Union".

Stealth Union is gar-baahge, and I think they should give Syrus a Skill to Summon it like Paradox Bros can for Gate Guardian. It could still end up as Pack-Filler though, so we'll see.
what about that second effect.. i mean what are we playing here? Dodge Ball roid?

It's for the column system Konami implemented which nobody plays eventhough Konami wants you to

It was meant to move Mobile Base from Extra Monster Zone to Main Monster Zone, so that you can use the EMZ for another Extra Deck card.

This card is released after MR4, hence that effect.

....The only issue is, who the hell will summon this first before summoning any Link monster
Mobile Base + Inverse Universe = Instant LP 🔥
