Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 3 Fiend-Type monsters from your Graveyard. During the End Phase, if this card is in the Graveyard because it was destroyed by an opponent's card this turn (by battle or card effect) and sent to your Graveyard while it was a Monster Card under your control: Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; equip this card to that target. While this card is equipped to a monster by this effect, take control of that monster.

Pros

Special summon instead of normal summon
High attack and very high defense.
Can take control of your opponent's monster when destroyed by either battle or card effects.

Cons

Can only be special summoned
Requires banishing 3 Fiend-Type monsters
Uses a spell/trap slot when the effect activates

Tips

You can special summon your banished monster by using Escape from the Dark Dimension or return them back to your graveyard using Doomsday Horror.

Sending fiends to graveyard

Send fiend type monsters to the graveyard to speed up the summoning of Dark Necrofear.

Sphere Kuriboh has great synergy because it helps defend against an attack while also adding fuel to your graveyard.
Fiend Griefing sends fiends to your graveyard and can be used to disrupt effects that involve a card in your opponent's graveyard.
Trance Archfiend gains 500 attack in exchange for sending a fiend type monster from your hand to the grave, and can also be used to recover a fiend removed by the summoning of Dark Necrofear.

What do you think of this deck? And what skill would you recommend other than Power of Dark?

Why don't you want to use Power of Dark..... But if you really wanted to use other skills, Switcheroo or Restart might be good. Or Destiny Board since you have Mirror Wall to reduce your LP by 2k points and Wonder Balloon to easily dump your Necrofear to the graveyard.

It's not that I don't want to use Power of Dark, I just want to know if there are other viable options as well.

Well, your deck build just screams "Power of Dark!!!" to me. Especially with that 2000 DEF boosted Gross Ghost. Other Skills that I mentioned before is just inferior tho.

For people who complain about the difficulties of summoning her, here's two ways which worked best for me:

1. Use Altar for tribute to select one fiend monster from the field and send it to grave (if you got more than 2 on the field already.)

2. Tribute/ritual summoning. I'm currently using Summoned skull and Zera and had 87% success so far.

Cut Dark spirit of the silent and Cut Puppet Master.

They suck. Viel of Darkness helps a lot as does Wonder Balloon

Any tips for a quick way to summon dark necrofear? Or have your 3 fiend type monsters in the graveyard?
btw I need help with this deck. I want it to be more consistent. I feel like I will lose to some faster decks if I don't find a way to quickly summon dark necrofear

Someone should sell this card to trader. This sucks at all. Worth of 1 UR jewel for Parshath.

why they give 2 relinquished but 1 necrofear.? This card is useless at least they give us 2. and the should ban relinquished.

Disappointing the event didnt even allow the chance to win another, either by the ridiculous 4mill or smashing special lvl 50.

I think they should limit relinquished and Sergeant electro to 1 and allow us to have another necroface and barrel dragon.

It's your standard banish deck with Necrofear thrown in there. Works great! Trying to figure out a way of fitting Escape From Dark Dimension in there.

Mikiel, if your goal is to fit in the Escape from Dark Dimension card, I recommend to get rid of one of your Double Costons. Given that you have only one card that requires 2 tributes, the Barrel Dragon, having one DC should be enough. I think the cost here would outweigh the benefit of summoning any Dark monsters, including Barrel Dragon, via Escape! Cheers!

I try to play The Shallow Grave to counter Destiny Board when Bakura only has Dark Necrofear in his graveyard and I have monsters in mine, but it doesn't let me play this card .. can someone explain?

his dark necrofear was never summoned properly so he can't summon it to the field that way.
