This page notes details of The Six Samurai - Yaichi (WATER/Warrior/Effect Monster) : decks, tips, effect and rulings. Learn and enjoy playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links!
Once per turn: You can target 1 Set Spell/Trap Card; destroy that target. You must control a face-up "Six Samurai" monster with a different name to activate and to resolve this effect. This card cannot declare an attack during the turn this effect is activated. If this card would be destroyed, you can destroy another face-up "Six Samurai" monster you control instead.
Since it has low attack and defense, you'll need to rely on defensive spells or traps to keep it alive. Powerful Rebirth can be good since it can be used on your other level 4 or lower Six Samurai monsters, but Super Rush headlong can destroy your opponent's attacking monster, or destroy your opponent's monster when you attack. Other standard defensive card will always work as well, like Windstorm of Etaqua, Mirror Wall, etc.
All of the Six Samurai monsters are warrior-type monsters, so using The A. Forces will help boost their attack, which can be devastating if you can swarm the field. Swiftstrike Armor can be a little slow, but it can potentially let you get an extra summon during your turns, allowing you to get 2 monsters out on the field. It can also be used with Reload since all of the monsters you get after using Reload can be special summoned with Swifstrike Armor.
Since you can target your own set spell/trap cards, you COULD use it to destroy cards like Wild Tornado to destroy your opponent's monster, or Dark Coffin for its effects. Bringing cards like these can be useful when you back row destroying cards get pretty common.
This effect is bugged, when it activates the trap card that should be destroyed can be activated by the opponent. Thus no card is really ever destroyed it just triggers all their traps so it sucks with this bug.
This ability is too powerful for a 4 star monster. Meanwhile Ice Barrier Samurai gets destroyed if it's hit with ECON, Etaqua or any effect which moves it to defence mode.
