Pros

  • Draw a card if tributed.
  • Can prevent your monster from getting destroyed if Relinkuriboh is in the graveyard.

Cons

  • Tributing often requires it to be on the field, unless you use it for ritual summoning, but Relinkuriboh is only a level 1 monster.
  • Second effect can only be used when it's in the graveyard.

Tips

Tributing

Some common ways to tribute a monster other than to normal summon a higher level monster is by using cards like Enemy Controller, or ritual summoning a monster. Relinquished is a good monster to summon since it's a level 1 ritual monster, and Relinkuriboh's second effect can essentially make Relinquished have 3 lives, making it much harder to destroy by battle. Although your opponent will also be able to see it coming if they see Relinkuriboh in your graveyard.

Tribute Right Away

Using Monster Gate will allow you to summon Relinkuriboh and get tributed right away, allowing you to get an instant draw and not having a low ATK and DEF monster on your field. It's better if your deck consists of some high level monsters to have some synergy, but even if you end up summoning another low level, you can activate Relinkuriboh from your graveyard to keep it alive from 1 battle.

Super Soldier

Super Soldier Synthesis can be an easy way to get either Black Luster Soldier, or Sacred Soldier out from your hand or graveyard. It uses 1 less card than the standard Ritual spell since you can use the other material from your deck. Sacred Soldier can also return Relinkuriboh from your banish pile if you've already used its effect before summoning. If you haven't used Relinkuriboh's second effect, you can use it to save your Sacred Soldier from 1 battle, then use cards like Dimension Gate to special summon it again, allowing you to return Relinkuriboh back to the graveyard.

Good if you play Blue Eyes and do not have psychic ace. After Maximus detroys your cosmo brain you can make your blue eyes invincible when it battles 3000 atk vs 3000 atk.

Agreed, but it's just an option.
Maybe it's not a good idea to give people weird ideas... the best tech in blue-eyes deck is probably sasuke samurai.

Does it get it effct when used with junk synchron?

Synchro summons don't count as tributing and instead are counted as being "sent to the graveyard" so no

Sucks? You have to:

1) Set/Summon this card first, then you have to protect him on the field so that you can get his Draw effect next turn? (kinda like Gemini, really?)

2) If you Set/Summon this card on field, what is left for you to Normal Summon? How will this card survive for a turn so next turn you can use it as a Tribute for your stronger monster cards? So difficult.

3) It requires that this card be destroyed first before you can use 2nd effect. So that means, you really have to Set this on field, which is actually a wasted move/turn.

4) Is this a gay Kuriboh? What went wrong with him?

Discarding this is pretty wasteful. Tributing this is a better way to be efficient.

Or any decks, really. For the second effect in particular. But is it worth it to include this card in your Deck?

Think about it, as so far nobody bothered to use this card.

The best feeling is when I Monster Gate my 1500 Emperor or my Lyla and get a Relinkuriboh!
