You can Ritual Summon this card with "Black Illusion Ritual". Once per turn: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; equip that target to this card. (You can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect.) This card's ATK and DEF become equal to that equipped monster's. If this card would be destroyed by battle, destroy that equipped monster instead. While equipped with that monster, any battle damage you take from battles involving this card inflicts equal effect damage to your opponent.

Evaluation

RatingB+

Pros

  • The effect of this card is very useful to remove a monster that cannot be destroyed by card effect such as Water monsters with Sea Lord's Amulet.
  • Excellent with the effect of Sphere Kuriboh. You can ritual summon this monster only banishing a Sphere Kuriboh in your graveyard.

Cons

  • Takes up spell/trap slots in your field when its effect is used.
  • Zero stats.

Tips

Bring Sphere Kuriboh to summon this much more easily.

Is it possible to summon it with "Contract with the Abyss"?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yes, but you need a Lvl. 1 monster. It doesn't work with a Lvl. 2+ monster.

This card is already broken

Stupid Konami have added it in UR Exchange Tickets but there's no way to get its Ritual summoning card in my knowledge. So new players like me are fcked up since we don't have Pegasus & older players can strengthen their Meta deck now

Never underestimate the power of this card combined with the Djinn Disserere of Rituals...

Why in the world would they make a guy with such a powerful effect a level 1. There are effectless beater ritual guys like the greasy hamburger that are lvl 6 and u can get lvl 4 beaters with basically the same stats.

I never played before duel links. To make him not op he needs to be a level 5. He's to op for a free graveyard tribute with 1 kuriboh.

relinquished is not even close to op anymore
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
He's still alright imo but they have released a ton of broken 🔥 to the game by this point so it doesn't really stand out. Although it's silly that he is better than every other ritual because of the cost.

The cost is what makes him. U basically never offer tribute for him it's just graveyard freebies

I happened to start this game just after the last Pegasus event. It's been about 4 months now and haven't had a chance to get the character. It wouldn't be so bad except relinquished and toon kingdom are staples in so many competitive decks. This makes the game extremely unfair to newer players since such powerful cards are simply not available to them. Only thing about this game I am disappointed in.
toon cards?
I attempted to attach a toon summon skull to my relinquished, but the game would not allow it...anyone have the same issue? Is there some rule about that?

Question here :
I'm using a statue deck with bandit skill and faced a relinquished player. Opponent summons relinquished, absorbs my face down statue. I use the bandit skill on the face down statue and attack relinquished with a clown.
And i took damage as if the statue was still equipped to relinquished.
Is this a bug or am i missing something ?
