Tips

Modify Monster's Type

DNA Surgery

You can change the type of monsters on the field to Reptile by using DNA Surgery. You can then banish those monsters to Special Summon Evil Dragon Ananta from your hand.

Drawback solution

Black Ptera

You can destroy Black Ptera from your field when your opponent doesn't have any cards on the field during your End Phase. Black Ptera will return to your hand and you can summon it again on your next turn. You can keep on repeating this process if your opponent has no cards on his/her field during your End Phase.

Send Reptile-Type to Graveyard

Magical Merchant

Worm Zero

You could possibly send multiple Reptile-Type monsters from your deck to your Graveryard by using Magical Merchant's effect. You can then Special Summon Evil Dragon Ananta by banishing all of those Reptile-Type monsters from your Graveyard and Evil Dragon Ananta will gain a lot of attack and defense. You can also fuse multiple Reptile-Type monsters from your hand to Fusion Summon Worm Zero. Worm Zero will gain benefit depending on the number of monsters used in this fusion. And again, you can banish all of those monsters from your Graveyard that is used for the fusion to Special Summon Evil Dragon Ananta.

I don't think so, the introduction of canadia is putting this one on a huge disadvantage, I wouldn't use it even in an alien deck right now.

1st replay guy is correct, that's why this card is still good in the alien deck. Not playing it because you simply fear canadia would be foolish and dumb

...Floodgate Trap Hole came out in literally the same pack.

It (and the Reptile decks that could support it) have just been powercrept. Though it was never on the level of a card like Koa'ki Meiru Maximus anyway. (Probably not even Archfiend Emperor honestly.)

No, you can't. Ananta is a Nomi monster (cannot be Special Summoned except by...)

Aliens and ananta are not dead per se, Ive seen a lot of competitive versions of the deck in the last kc cup !

It was turn 2, i set alien telepath and tried to special summon ananta in order to pop a card in the end phase but could not summon. Anyone know what happened? Opponent had two face downs nothing else

Face-down monsters aren't considered to have a Type unless you're Tributing them or using them as Fusion Material. For any other purpose, it's essentially typeless.

i had this with 2400 attack, enemy used curse of anubis, i go defense position, 0 defence with 2 monsters, on next turn, my other monster's defence became normal but ananta's defence stayed 0... is this normal??

You don't know the basic rule? It stays at 0 after decreased because it's original ATK/DEF is 0.

actually im not 100% sure, i remember once opponent took control over it with econ and i'm not 100% sure if he was able to use the effect.

You cannot use the effect. This card will go back to your opponent before turn ends and he will activate the effect again.

You cannot activate the effect after econ-take it. I have tried it before, it doesn't work. Instead he gets to destroy one card on the field.

Wild Tornado will be nice since you can destroy it and pop a face up monster... but again if your opponent has nothing then your just killing the snake.
