Set skill

[Skill] descriptionUsers
Right Back at You
Can be used in the Main Phase of your next turn following the turn in which you took battle damage. Select 1 face-up monster on your field. This turn, the selected monster's ATK increases by half of the battle damage received in the turn you last took battle damage. This skill can only be used once per turn.

How to use

Heal

You will be taking a lot of battle damage while using this deck, mostly from direct attacks, so use a lot of heal cards so that you do not lose quickly. Chain heal cards when your opponent attacks with his strongest monster to maximize your heal.

  • The best healing cards to use in this deck are cards like Enchanted Javelin and The Golden Apples which heal you for the amount of your opponent's attack, practically negating the attack. Additionally, The Golden Apples also special summons a token with attack and defense points equal to the damage you took, but be careful because The Golden Apples only heals you after you have received the damage meaning you can still lose while it is set.
  • When your opponent hits you with 2000 or more damage, you can use Nutrient Z to heal yourself by 4000 points before you take the damage.

Protect yourself

Right back at you only gives you the boost of the last battle damage you took. If you take 1800 battle damage then take 100 battle damage, the skill will count the 100 and only boost your attack by 50. So use defense cards to prevent you from losing your boost when your opponent attacks with his bigger monster first. Also use defense cards to prevent your opponent from killing you in case your heals could not keep up.

Direct attack with boosted damage

Direct attack with Inaba White Rabbit or Skystarray boosted with right back at you to deal massive damage. You do not need to worry about Inaba White Rabbit and Skystarray being destroyed by battle because they remove themselves from the field and can be reused your next turn.

Dealing extra damage

  • Lava Golem can be used to remove annoying monsters from your opponent's field, while also dealing an extra 1000 damage to them during each of their standby phases. Additionally, getting hit by Lava Golem directly means you can boost your monster by 1500 attack the next turn. You can use The Golden Apples when hit by Lava Golem to get a 3000 attack and defense token on the field.
  • Big Shield Gardna when set can deal damage to your opponent if they have insufficient attack, and when changed to attack position might give you the opportunity to use your skill the next turn.

Attack and receive ?

I played against a Destiny Draw Yami Yugi version of this deck. These decks are so viable because this is a 4000 LP game.

fyi, I was using an anti-meta insect uprising weevil deck and I lost, to a Windstorm.

What cards do you use to make insect uprising viable ?

worm bait. You get to swarm your filed with insects to trigger insect uprising and get 2 tributable tokens to summon, econ or use that double arm trap that steals two of your opponents monsters.

You might want to update the packs. You should add the, 'Flame of the Tyrant', pack since Golden Apples is in that pack.

How does this deck do vs weevil?

Ulle Reply
It's okay against Weevil. He has no chance to use the Mask or Lava Golem on you because your field is almost empty the entire time.

his mask, lava golem and panda are useless...and besides 2x parasite in worst case he has nothing damage you any more...

and even if ... you have many life recovery options :)

The guy I dueled with used that +3000 lp trap, you should add it to other useful cards.

Tested this kind of deck some days ago before it was shown here and finally got a third Golden Apples yesterday. It's pretty fun to play and also good against the annoying Toon decks.
