Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys

Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys
TypeWinged Beast, Effect

You can Ritual Summon this card with “Rebirth of Nephthys”. You can only use each of the following effects of “Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys” once per turn.
● During your Main Phase: You can destroy “Nephthys” cards in your hand and/or face-up field, then destroy an equal number of monsters your opponent controls.
● During your next Standby Phase after this card was destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the GY: You can Special Summon this card from the GY.

How to Get

PackAbsolute Inferno [UR]
Level-up reward--
Victory against--
Card trader--

  • Revives himself when destroyed.
  • Can destroy your opponent’s monsters.
  • Destroys your Nephthys cards which triggers their effects.

  • Being a Ritual monster makes him costly and difficult to summon.
  • Can only activate removal effect if you have Nephthys cards to destroy.

Rebirth of Nephthys is this monster’s intended Ritual card and if you use another Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys or Devotee of Nephthys as ritual tribute you can destroy one card on the field.

The Djinn monsters are all able to use themselves as ritual tribute even while in the graveyard, which eases your summoning cost. Additionally, each of them gives your Ritual monster an additional effect when they are used as ritual tribute.

Cards of the Soul

Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys has a combined attack and defense of 4000 which means you can search him out Cards of the Soul if you have full LP. You can also search for Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys another boss monster of the deck.

Use Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys’ effect to clear your opponent’s board while also destroying your Nephthys monsters to trigger their effects.

Love how people try to defend this by saying its not as bad as Koa'ki Meru was. You people are aware that this thing has basically the same effect as Maximus, same stats, and unlike Maximus, it comes back to life after being destroyed. Not to mention, the deck its usually run in has an infinite blocker in the form of Yubel-Terror. This isn't Koa'ki Meru, its worse.

Yubel has counterplay. Make him/her/it miss timing and you’re fine to go. Theres hardly any counterplay to full power kokais. You go second, huh I’m in danger.
Yo before the update when I had two of these on the field and incarnate destroyed both, both would come back now only one Konami can you fix this I really liked being an evil menace to society

No, because it's correct. The effect states you can only use the effect of Cerulean only once per turn.

The restriction applies to all copies of Cerulean since it mentions by name, instead of "this card". Which means, after you revive one, you can't revive another copy in the same turn.

Kind of trying to figure out the card techs here, but when does this card activate its second effect? From the text it sounds like destroying in any way would summon it next turn just like the non-ritual version, but destroying from your hand doesn't seem to trigger it. Does it need to have been on the field first?

Monsters with special summoning condition like fusion, ritual and synchro need to be summoned properly with their own summoning method before you can revive it from the graveyard

I played yesterday and so many people tried to blow up Cerulean phoenix in their hand. Then they surrendered next turn.

I wasn´t aware of that rule, though it does make sense. It dawned on me when Fire King Island didn´t let me special summon it from my hand either.

This card is aesthetically pleasing to my eye. I like how the blue of the monster is the same blue as the card itself and the lighter blues in the flames make it pop more.

I chose a yubel deck mostly because of this card. And I chose this card mostly for the same exact reason as your comment lol

Good art, but I think they should have made the fire behind blue too.
Now it looks as if he farts

lol xD
So I was trying to build a Yubel deck and I needed a copy of this and three Disciples.

Spent 800 gems and I have two discples and three Ceruleans :/
So why exactly after cerulean sacred Phoenix is special summoned after I destroyed it on turn 2, able to destroy its self on turn 3 destroy my monster then some how attack me with the same Phoenix that they destroyed to destroy my monster in the first place??
Just get my Cerulian using one-buy-one method (50 gems) and Get my RDA after that *me using skill "Luck On My Side"

I pulled this pretty card with just 450 gems, I think I was really lucky
Will suck against maximus/ancient gear. Tier 3 at best

Looks cool, i think it would be easier to pull loop yubel phoenix combo

someone is scared.. Maximus will suck hard for sure - 3000 attack and Phoenix returns from the graveyard if you destroy it with the effect

Lol, Maximus? You mean our latest up and coming resident to the ban list? Oh, yes, am so scared.
Any OTK deck can deal this deck easily, in fact that they are defenseless

Yubes is this deck defense
Looking for advice! Can nephtys be good by itself or with yubel cards without the yubel skill? I was really looking forward to nephtys with the ritual support but I do not want to use AG or the yubel character with this. No offense to them.

Yes, some guy on Reddit said he made a pure Nephthys deck and got to KOG. You 3 copies of the big Ritual Monster, according to him, to make it work.

Thank you. I was kind of waiting to see if others were doing well first since this deck is expensive looking with the ritual monsters along with cards from old boxes. I will probably try it out.
Why is no one using necrovalley when it is Yubel meta?

Because it barely affects any other commonly seen deck? It's basically completely useless against a deck like Ancient Gear or Koa'ki Meiru.
wow. This card just killed my Obelisk!!!
