"Red-Eyes B. Dragon" + 1 Warrior monster

When a "Red-Eyes" monster declares an attack: You can target 1 Warrior monster in your GY; equip it to this card as an Equip Spell with this effect.
● The equipped monster gains 200 ATK. When a card or effect is activated that targets a card you control (Quick Effect): You can send 1 Equip Card you control to the GY; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon as many monsters from your GY as possible, that were equipped to this card.

Pros

  • Strong base stats.
  • Self ATK boost.
  • Negates targeting effects.
  • Can float into multiple monsters.

Cons

  • Negation costs you an equip card, lowering this monster's ATK.
  • Targeting negation only applies when you have a monster equipped, which is only after you attack. Which means it can easily be dealt with anytime between its summoning and the start of the Battle Phase.

Tips

  • This monster’s equip effect can be used multiple times in the same Battle Phase, whenever a Red-Eyes monster performs an attack.

Red-Eyes Fusion

The best way to get Red-Eyes Slash Dragon out is with Red-Eyes Fusion, which lets you use monsters from the deck as material. Using monsters from the deck as materials means you won't need prior set up and also won't spend any resources in making your boss monster. The materials you used can also be a way to pitch graveyard effects out of your deck, or pitch a monster you want to attach to Red-Eyes Slash Dragon.

One huge downside is you won't be able to summon anything else during the turn you use Red-Eyes Fusion. Unlike Neos Fusion you can't do your summons beforehand or you won't be allowed to use Red-Eyes Fusion. This means your entire board setup for the turn will only consist of Red-Eyes Slash Dragon and some backrow.

Black Metal Dragon

You can attach Black Metal Dragon from your hand to a Red-Eyes Slash Dragon and give it a 600 ATK boost. The Black Metal Dragon can then be used as cost for Red-Eyes Slash Dragon's targeting protection, which in turn lets you search any Red-Eyes card.

If you want to search a Red-Eyes Spell/Trap card, you can search Red-Eyes Insight first and then use it to search your intended card. This lets you further cycle your deck.

Red-Eyes Support

Red-Eyes Insight is a must for any Red-Eyes deck. It pitches a monster to the graveyard and searches for any other Red-Eyes Spell/Trap. This lets it combo well with Red-Eyes Spirit to revive the monster you just sent to the graveyard. You can also search Red-Eyes Fusion and make Red-Eyes Slash Dragon while further thinning your deck.

Why doesn't his affect work against spellbook of fate? It should right? As long as there is a monster equipped to him right?

Fate doesn't target.

I had red eyes and a dark hex and i couldnt summon slasher, anyone know why?
<< Anonymous
Michael Reply
To answer your question because some people are assholes. To use the dark hex you have to either have both fusion materials on the field and special summon using it's ability without polymerization OR you have to have polymerization in your hand. The hex can be used for ANY fusion material replacement so I don't believe that it has to be a warrior. If I'm wrong you may actually need a warrior.

the assholes were right and youre wrong.
just 1 warrior + this card on the field, then activate this card effect. or if you cant manage to summon both of them into the field, poly them.

You do need a warrior. Fusion subs cannot replace material that's not specifically named.

Probably you need a warrior like decider

Does ghost rare of this card exist?

i just had an opponent negate my enemy controller without having an equip card attatched to red eyes slash dragon?

My first guess: Is there anything else equipped to the RESD?

Equip card here means anything equipped to RESD, it doesn't have to be a monster equipped via its own effect. Cards like Equip Spells, or Traps that equips like Metalmorph or Kunai with Chain, also works for RESD's effect.

Oh wait, it doesn't even have to be equipped to RESD. As long as the controller has an Equip card to send, RESD can negate stuff.

Does he have any other equip spell? It doesn't have to be attached to red eyes slash, it can be any equip he controls

is it worth getting 3 of this card?

if you f2p 2 is enough
what?
Cons
Need resources and effort to Fusion Summon??

**no space for spell/trap card**??
<< Anonymous(what?)
DaSwifta Reply
Pffft! Effort to summon? What effort? I can easily fusion summon this card like twice per duel, and then summon it again from the grave if I have to. It's probably one of the easiest fusion monsters to summon except maybe Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon (excluding contact fusions).
<< Anonymous(what?)

Yeah, not to mention, literally every single Fusion monster needs resource to summon.....that's not a Con, that's an inherent condition of the mechanic

Shouldn’t RESD be able to negate Order to charge? Or does it only negate cards that ONLY targets my monsters?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Oh, ok. Now I get it. Thanks :)

Quick thought tho, does the same rule apply to Tribute to the doomed? Cuz you discard a card from your hand in order to destroy a monster to the field, meaning it would be considered tributing a monster to destroy another monster. Would RESD be able to negate that?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
RESD will stop TTTD b/c it targets,so RESD cant stop OTC b/c it don't target

Ok, thx

Since REBSD required warrior monsters, I threw in Buster Blader and some Boxers for my deck, worked out pretty well, Special Summoned Buster Blader if RESBD got destroyed to Legend 1.

I've built a deck around Aracna Knight and this card. It's not the best Slash Dragon deck, but it makes Arcana Knight based decks more viable...
Real one
Does this card negate dakinis effect by unequipping. If not does it at least special the warriors attached when sent to grave by dakini
<< Anonymous(Real one)
Anonymous Reply
I do not think so as Dakini does not target ... It forces opponent to select himself a monster and send it to GY
<< Anonymous(Real one)
Anonymous Reply
Slash dragon doesn't do 🔥 against dakini , you won't negate its effects nor summon the equipped warriors (dakini's effect isn't destruction)

When you use A/D changer to counter floodgate and attack and your opponent switches slash dragon to defense you can't change it back to offense.
Anybody else facing this problem?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
It's because you can't read
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
its because of the floodgate you have to change it using card effect
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
you flip you monster using A/D changer effect and your enemy change it to defend using card effect so you cant just change it position you have to use card effect

Got it,thanks guys (except the first prick)
