Because Hex can only replace fusion material monsters whose name is specifically listed in the fusion monster's text. Therefore it cannot replace the unnamed Warrior-type monster required for the fusion summon cause it's name isn't specified.
Or you could just be helpful and explain since a lot people who play DL are new to yugioh in general and there are a LOT of card inconsistencies. But hey it's your call if you want to be the unhelpful ass.
To answer your question because some people are assholes. To use the dark hex you have to either have both fusion materials on the field and special summon using it's ability without polymerization OR you have to have polymerization in your hand. The hex can be used for ANY fusion material replacement so I don't believe that it has to be a warrior. If I'm wrong you may actually need a warrior.

just 1 warrior + this card on the field, then activate this card effect. or if you cant manage to summon both of them into the field, poly them.
