“Morphtronic” is an archetype of mostly Machine-Type monsters that gain different effects depending on their Battle Position; these monsters are low in Level and usually have low ATK and DEF, but they make up for this with various effects that can increase their stats (Morphtronic Radion) or Special Summon other monsters of their own archetype (Morphtronic Scopen), making it quite easy to Synchro Summon with them.
The deck you will find here centers around Power Tool Dragon, a Level 7 Synchro, but it’s entirely possible to take a different approach and focus solely on “Morphtronic” monsters.
This Deck is created by ねむふぇ
While in Attack Position, Morphtronic Scopen allows you to Special Summon a Level 4 “Morphtronic” monster from your hand; the Special Summoned monster will be destroyed during the End Phase, but that hardly matters since you are just going to use it to Synchro Summon Power Tool Dragon.
Scopen can essentially Special Summon Morphtronic Videon or Morphtronic Slingen from your hand with its effect; there is another Level 4 “Morphtronic” monster that you could run (Morphtronic Radion), but it’s unfortunately not a Machine-Type monster, so you can’t equip it with Gravity Blaster.
Scopen’s Defense Position effect turns it into a Level 4 monster, you are generally never going to use this effect, but it’s still worth pointing out as it’s technically an alternative way to get one of the two Level 8 Synchros in the Extra Deck out without having to use three monsters or Powerful Rebirth’s Level increasing effect.
Morphtronic Celfon, while in Attack Position, allows you to roll a six-sided die, reveal a number of cards from the top of your Deck equal to the roll and then Special Summon a Level 4 or lower “Morphtronic” monster among those cards ignoring its summoning conditions; so far the “ignoring its summoning conditions” part is only relevant if you decide to run the Level 1 Morphtronic Smartfon as it is the only monster in the archetype that has some form of restrictions on how it has to be Summoned.
You can use Morphtronic Accelerator before activating Morphtronic Celfon’s effect to increase the chance of finding a “Morphtronic” monster among the cards revealed. You can completely disregard Celfon’s Defense Position effect as it does literally nothing.
Powerful Rebirth makes it easier to Synchro Summon and it gives you easy access to Level 8 Synchros by increasing the Level of the monster it Special Summons from the Graveyard by 1.
Gravity Blaster can only be equipped to a Machine-Type monster, it allows you to increase its ATK by 400 every turn and, if the equipped monster battles an opponent’s monster, it negates its effect during the Battle Phase only.
Gravity Blaster can prevent the activation of Flip Effects and it also allows you to destroy by battle Yubel, Yubel - Terror Incarnate and Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare without triggering the effects of the first two.
Mage Power has some synergy with Powerful Rebirth as the Continuous Trap stays on the field even if the monster it Special Summoned is sent to the Graveyard or is banished; this Equip Spell is solely used for the large ATK increase it offers and can be easily substituted by any other card with a similar effect.
Power Tool Dragon is a respectable generic Level 7 Synchro and it’s the monster you are going to Special Summon from the Extra Deck most of the times.
Once per turn, Power Tool Dragon allows you to reveal 3 Equip Spell Cards from your Deck and then make your opponent select a random one to add to your hand. As long as Power Tool Dragon is equipped with at least an Equip Spell Card, you can send one to the Graveyard to prevent the monster from being destroyed by battle or card effect; with Amazoness being so heavily weakened, Spellbook of Fate is the only card that you should worry about.
You can Special Summon Power Tool Dragon using Morphtronic Scopen and Morphtronic Videon/Morphtronic Slingen.
Stardust Dragon can prevent destruction effect by Tributing itself; the monster is then Special Summoned during the End Phase of the turn in which the effect was activated.
You can Special Summon Stardust Dragon using Morphtronic Scopen, Morphtronic Videon / Morphtronic Slingen and Morphtronic Celfon or just Morphtronic Scopen and Morphtronic Videon/Morphtronic Slingen if Scopen is in Defense Position or one of the two monsters used has been Special Summoned with Powerful Rebirth.
Vylon Epsilon prevents Equip Spell Cards equipped to it from being targeted by opponent’s cards or effects and, once per turn, allows you to destroy a monster your opponent controls by sending an Equip Card equipped to it to the Graveyard.
Epsilon has higher ATK than Stardust Dragon and, since it’s also not a Dragon-Type monster, it can help in the Buster Blader matchup with its removal effect.
Very similar to Endless Trap Hell, it can prevent you from decking out and it has synergy with both of Power Tool Dragon’s effects.
Another Skill that has synergy with Power Tool Dragon’s effect: if there aren’t at least three Equip Spell Cards in your Deck, you can’t search.
Treacherous Trap Hole can easily prevent you from Synchro Summoning.
The deck can’t interact with the opponent during their turn; Treacherous Trap Hole is the only card used for protection, but lowering the amount of monsters to add Wall of Disruption may also lower the consistency of the deck.
