Reading the comments, it seems there used to be a ridiculous comparison to BEWD in the article lol.

Glad it's removed, since it's indeed wrong to compare this card with BEWD.

You are wrong, it happens same at the second and the other attacks too since damage calculation continues at the same turn. You need to make the second attack at the next turn.

Each attack has its own damage caculation, ergo YOU are wrong and it only works against the first attack.

I use Suijin with my Daedalus deck and it is EXTREMELY USEFUL despite the evaluation above. People don't understand its effect, so they attack it and it slays

can someone explain to me why when i attacked this monster face down with a hammer shark,and Suijin's effect activated, i took 5200 points of damage instead of 2600?

Yes it will double (when suijin in def)..coz when u attack, ur monster attack will become 0 n suijin counter attack ..so it will be double..

After reading this evaluation I stopped believing in this websites proficiency about other cards. "Blue-Eyes White Dragon is better than this card in terms of stats, and you will not use this card." Really? Seriously?

"BEWD is straight up better than this card"

Uh, no it's not. Even with support, Blue-Eyes dies in a straight battle to stronger monsters. Suijin can, once while it's face-up, destroy anything in combat without spells or traps.
